Thursday [6 till close of play]

(1634) Afternoon all. People close to me should always use the numbered posts here and these intros as the current notice of how I am and what I’m up to, better even than email or X. WP.com and substack have become unreliable and I admire our chaps persevering. As mentioned, this is safest because it is monitored by our techie … as long as I am operating, HQ should too, irrespective of what the platforms get up to.

When the numbered posts are thin, e.g. today … it might be dearth of news but might also be that I have things happening … this morning was hellish, plus I had a vital call with MMutR. If you need to announce something, try to use HQ or you could try your luck at one of the others. I do check UHC-WP. It was intended for readers moreso than for me.

The issue, natch, is what if I’m suddenly taken badly ill/accident, whatever? There’s a system in place here but that’s for RL. For you, possibly Lord T will announce here whatever it is. Someone asked … what happens if he himself croaks it? Ah well … there ya go. How sad, never mind. šŸ˜Ž I hasten to add that, as of now, I’m still fine.

ā€There is no suggestion that the programme, or any of the footage shown from the home, was connected to Ms Widdecombe’s death.ā€

Of course not!

ā€which first aired in 2022ā€

Why repeat it?

Respectfully James, this post is not up to your usual standards. The individual who originally posted the comment as well as the one who posted the on- target-reaction is probably correct about how those states will probably respond and also because it was Trump’s little triumph. My response is, so what šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø on that point.

I hope Americans are aware that we/they are the United STATES of America.

Each state has, regarding ā€˜some issues’ and imo there should be ā€˜more issues’, every right to decide for itself whether it wants to enlist all year long ā€˜Standard Time’ or enlist all year long ā€˜Daylight Savings Time’.

I presume a state could choose to implement half of the year ST and then the other half DST – the status quo, if you will. It is their prerogative.. Hopefully, it would be decided by the majority vote in each state, but once again, each state does it’s thing. If you don’t like it move to another state that leans in the direction you prefer.

So, what if a state refuses to implement DST year round? Again, it is every state’s right to decide what is best or not best for it’s citizens and lifestyle even if the choice is to show disdain for the new bill prompted by President Trump. Who cares šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø in this instance?

To not implement the year round DST is not necessarily to balk Trump, but probably it would be to balk him!

I haven’t read the bill but going on what was posted along with the šŸŽÆ emoji is short sighted and immature to my way of thinking.

As much as I am not at all a fan of congress ( most of congress) who is out to bring down Trump and steal, kill and destroy our country, nonetheless we must acknowledge that Trump is not king.

He is well aware he is not king though many across the so-called aisle would disagree. Anyoleway, the president fully understands the legal process of our great country. Alternately, we are becoming aware and are beginning to understand the illegal process of our country about which he will speak tonight.

For me not to speak up on such a seemingly innocuous thing would be negligent and irresponsible.

If the poster of the comment makes (imo) an immature and manipulative statement it must not be so innocuous after all.

Upon reflection, the post of which I speak and many like it, are probably being diisimminated by malefactors worldwide just to stoke the always glowing embers of our anxious in-your-face society into flames. We assume Trump supporters, to an extent, indeed stoke, or become very stoked themselves while stoking. However, and this is important, it could be pretenders who are stoking those hot coals!

Many who pretend to be on our side like to stir and blow on the low fire encouraging flames. It only takes a spark to get a fire going.

People can get lulled into not thinking or get easily flared by being fanned by certain ones to promote anger and self-righteousness, self-indignation and self-justification. Either way people can forget to think.

On occasion, I have inadvertently allowed myself to get caught up in a vortex of group think, group speak, group connect, group pile on.

Fanning flames and stoking already hot coals can seriously undermine clear and rational thinking. So can a low sultry cooing on the nearly dormant embers manipulate an individual, or a crowd.

Honestly, had it been a ByeDumb bill I might hope my state would have opposed it or rather not go for the DST on principle!
Kansas, Montana, Missouri, or Assachutes — it is their decision! Who cares what they do or what Alabama does unless it offends humanity, promotes violence and wickedness, maim, or encourages *parallel societies.

Not only do the big storms in life cause erosion. The storms can also redistribute things elsewhere. However, it is the day to day occurrences we become used to over years that can really erode and cause underpinnings to come apart, staples of society to collapse, people of good repute to fall from grace. We are to watch out and tend to issues as needed, beware of people, leaders in both big and little settings and situations. .

    3 an asides:
I thought I had posted already! Zonked!

Correction. Massachusetts…not Assachusttes! 🤭 I must have been sleep āœļø!

*šŸ¤”šŸ’parallel societies. We don’t like it when a certain group sets up in western society. However, one day we might be existing in a parallel society of our own making or choosing for survival of our inalienable rights.

Ain’t the world an interesting place?

    ……

JH: With your permission, Toods, going to post this, without other references, tomorrow at OoL and Jstack because Brits maybe need to see homeland Americanthink, sets the scene. Ok?
