4. Revamp
Emphasis on vamp too … some weeks back, I foolishly ran an excerpt from my long book which caused all sorts of mayhem behind the scenes (astute readers might be aware). Well, part of that was a chapter heading pic, followed by a (cough) indefensible first half page of, as Toods called it … bawdiness.
Useless for me to argue that that was just the prelude to horrible things happening to all the perps in the story … it was actually a cautionary tale, centred around a song by Merrilee Rush and her huge hit song, which appears within the text. Anyway, I had to change the old pic I’d seen somewhere because its signals were not too good.
Within the song was this pic of Merrilee Rush and I asked and was told she was 23/24 here, which is still lineball in my eyes but anyway … that’s now the pic in the book. My regret is that MR herself is too nice a person, whereas the character in the book is a (spoilers) killer vamp (end spoilers).
Hmmmmm … as well be hanged for a sheep as a lamb … I’ve been thinking that a certain lady in Alabama has a similar hair colouring, so does a certain lady in Alberta and a lady in Massachusetts. And now a lady from Seattle with similar hair? Hmmmmm.
