16. Gosport
Pegging out a bit here but need to put something at least about the RNLI farce. Danny apparently sunk an unmanned dinghy, the RNLI have been quite complicit, they tried landing at Gosport but too many onshore against them, they turned radios off … now developments:

DAD has a report at 1498.
15. If anyone would know the score
… it’s Chanel …
14. Toods wanted an episode with faces
Trouble with this 1985 series, which should have had good resolution … was that in many episodes, it didn’t … dark or blurry. This one was ok.
No! After 26 minutes, this episode is very good … and it relates to all we’re doing at the moment.
13. Banning the fake news … sounds good to me

12. The humble tree

11. It’s getting to the point where austerity
… and avoiding anything “convenient” is the only safe option. There’s also safety and safety … good likelihood of being bashed or slashed is not overcaution imho.

8. Vaxx certs
This issue is analogous to my own right now.

The issues all refuseniki had was how to continue to live and work … I avoided all medical contact at the time and my state of health allowed that, plus deliveries to our addresses were becoming more common. My place was most liveable … I was mainly blogging … so issues others had, I didn’t … until they started this nightingale quarantine thing. Downunder, they were talking concentration camps, like FEMA camps … that was coercion, straight and brutal. Like Uke thugs kidnapping young men to die.
Sports people travelling overseas were in a different position … they had to prove they were vaxxed. Now, all kudos to Nole for his stance but what about members of a team? Remember that vaxx certs were outrageous for a start, esp. over entry or non-entry.
I’m not quite as scathing as Leilani on it. Same with servicemen and women or those in medical places … you could do as many ladies on X did … refused, lost their jobs etc. and again … kudos to them.
What though if there were mouths to feed at home? What if there were other dependents? Hmmmmmm.
Haven’t been paying much attention today, until I read OoL just now. This one has a clip of Rees-Mogg..

The tree bloke. He missess a few things…if I may.
Trees live in symbiosis with fungi. The fungi make minerals and chemicals available to the tree roots in return the tree provides the fungi with sugars, starches and water.
A forest of trees ‘eat’ the wind. Within from the in there is no wind. The boundary trees move and reduce the velocity of the wind forcing it to drop the detritus it is carrying which builds up at the forest edge in the form of a teardrop shape.
The forest grows best on a fallen forest.
The tree moves water from crown to root by leaf absorption and external channeling and water from root to crown internally via the phloem. It shifts the water upwards using bubbes of carbon dioxide to do the pushing.
It absorbs 100% of light rain and once saturated it shuts its pores and sheds stronger longer rain direct to its roots via trunk and the canopy drip zone.
The crown supports enormous quantities of the Pseudomonas syringae bacteria which get shaken off in the wind and go up to form clouds down wind of the forest which drop rain approx three miles away from the forest.
Its only in heavy rain that water gets through the tree, soil, subsoil to get to the aquifer.
Trees identify what is attacking them and emit a chemical message via the wind to warn others of its species down wind. The tree under attack will change the chemical content of its leaves to deter the attacker. In severe attacks it will suspend all its processes and shed the leaves thus killing off the attacker.
Tropical ain forest soils are the ones that don’t get any deeper. The cycles of decay and replacement are very different to those in temperate forests primarily because rain forests do not contain much by the way of fungus and mould the recyclers are insects.
Rain forest trees also have shallow wide root systems. Temperate forests have a wide variety of root systems and being seasonal in growth it means the soil depth increases over time.
We live in a climate that trees (and algae) have crafted to suit their best interests. This is why we feel so at home in the company of trees. That is why the people who seek control over others re contnually cutting down and removng trees.
All that said we truly know next to bugger all about what a tree is doing in any given moment or over a lifetime.
One last thing or else I’ll be going on and on all night.
Consider this.
Acorns only grow on an oak tree. Oak trees only grow from acorns.
Bugger.
“Within from the in there is no wind. ”
Should read “Within fifty feet from the edge there is next to no wind. 100 feet it in everything is still.”
The Hidden Life of Trees by Peter Wohlleben
Brilliant book, imho. You’ll never take a tree for granted again. How they communicate and support each other etc. Mind boggling 🤯
I see your book (and contradicting what wrote earlier about preferring reading!) I give you a Bill Mollison video on trees. An hour will never seem so short.

That is beautiful! 🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳!
I meant to place under Bill’s magnificent description of the forest and the symbiosis relationship between the trees and fungi I live in a temperate climate. I see both of the fungi and insects as well as varying root systems with our trees and forests.
Again, lovely read.
I can see the forest AND the trees! 🌳 🌳🌳🌳🌳🌴🌲🌳
16. Gosport – complicit were the French as well as the RNLI. They were observed assisting the dinghy chancers along the coast, making numerous pick-ups before heading out across the channel, to be greeted by the RNLI who passed them over to the Border Force vessel ‘Vigilant’. The whole affair is orchestrated and as I wrote here last Friday it’s ‘a criminal enterprise with joint state sponsorship’. They have no intention of bringing it to an end.
