12. Air Traffic Control again
Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) has released a statement as air traffic control issues this morning (Monday, September 21) has led to the delays of hundreds of flights across the UK. The National Air Traffic Services (NATS) issue is affecting airspace in northern and central England, as well as in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Airspace was restricted due to a technical issue at the NATS Prestwick centre in Scotland. NATS said the issue is unrelated to the problems with air traffic control earlier this month. According to FlightRadar24, dozens of flights arriving and leaving Liverpool thought today have been delayed.
NATS has now said the issue is fixed but they are still working to “safely lift air traffic regulations”.
