Plus the humour is … one lady and I have been talking many names from the past, of whom Lord Somber (blogrolls) is one. There is a long history with us. Plus our boys here are probably going to cough and ask WTAF, whilst our girls will just enjoy, ha ha.
During the summer I put out bowls of water for the birds, insects and any passing animals.
For the last few weeks, during the heatwave something came during the night and drunk nearly all the water. The other evening I went into the kitchen to lower the shutters and saw my visitor – a female deer.

We get quite the animal variety even though we’re right on the main drag through town.
Foxes, opossum, raccoons, rat snakes, hawks & buzzards, even a lost beaver.
