15. It appears obvious that the arrivals in Ireland are learning from the tales of small boat invaders to the UK throwing their passports and other identification overboard at the first sight of an RNLI or Border Farce boat. In those cases, the law of the sea states they have to be taken ashore.
In the case of Dublin, Shirley anyone arriving without a passport is put back onto the same plane they arrived in. One would think that politics or backhanders in brown envelopes is somehow involved.
To board an international flight in this country I require an exit visa, aka a passport. Doesn’t the same apply in other countries? If passengers are destroying their documents in flight Dublin should mandate that passports be retained by cabin crew during the flight and returned only when disembarking.
