Thursday [11 till close of play]

(1509) Cunning plan is to do my training first, as the film’s still running, coming back just after 1600 to start the evening posting.

21. 911 tomorrow

Pic: The New Yorker

We usually cover WTC7 here, Silverstein, the firemen, NIST and no doubt many will have much to say tomorrow. I’d like, on the eve of 911 to think where I was when it came through, where you were.

Plus a year or two later, the US Ambassador came to our town, our university, spoke of 911 emotionally … our town was half Russian, half Malsi. There was pretty much silence from many people, the other half politely applauded the Ambassador.

Where was I on the actual day? Tuesday, 0846 EDT. Hmmmm. For us, it must have been 1646 MSK … I’d say lessons would have finished but occasionally I’d be there at 1900. No … actually, I’m not sure universities were back by then. Schoolchildren would have gone home. I had no TV or radio.

In other news it is reported that Labour have announced their candidate for the Holborn and St. Pancras by-election. After much searching they have unearthed the perfect prospective polly. SagalnAbdi-Wali, Somalian refugee, will be a perfect representative for that constituency.

IT’S OFFICIAL: A fourth female juror just went public and said the singular male holdout was being pressured to acquit Lindsay Clancy since the FIRST DAY of deliberations

This same juror says she caved to the mob, going from GUILTY to NOT GUILTY 😠

“That person — the majority of the room was trying to sway that person from the very beginning.”

“Originally I felt she was guilty and criminally responsible…she was not mentally healthy…she couldn’t see her way out. And this was the only option.”

What?! M*rdering kids is NEVER the only option!

We were one juror away from a shocking acquittal in front of tens of millions of Americans for someone who admitted to m*rder. It’s absolutely terrifying.

The guy who refused to cave deserves an award!

Whether this is for real or not, or it’s just soc-med fwd thinking, I’ll put to Aus Xers in a few minutes. I’ve noticed that Aus seems, in some ways, even more susceptible to globopsycho than we are. Can anyone corroborate this or not?

5. I was home sick in Year 2 one day …

… but still walked to school mid morn to give the young teacheress an apple. True story. Boys notice early. When I was in Year 7, I had my first (formal stepping out) date but sitting in class one day, a (maybe) Year 12 girl walked past the school on her way to her school and I got up to go out … but the teacher then came in to start the day’s doings. Damn! Also a true story.

a) France Plummets in Reading, Math and Comprehension in Latest PISA Rankings. French students recorded their worst performance since international PISA testing began over 20 years ago, with mathematics and reading scores dropping sharply to rank 34th and 28th globally.

b) Paris 19th: A high-ranking official from the Directorate of Prison Administration had her bag—containing confidential data on prisons—stolen in a bar. Later that evening, around 11:30 PM, the young woman stepped out of the Hang’Art with a friend to smoke a cigarette. A short while later, she realised her bag was gone. There was no denying the facts: it had been stolen.

EU candidate countries should cut ties with the MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement and, more broadly, avoid strategic dependencies on political movements and figures that Brussels considers incompatible with its interests, EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos has warned.

e) Spain. Real Madrid fans in the south end of the Santiago BernabĂŠu stadium in Madrid, Spain held up cards displaying the coat of arms of the autonomous city of Ceuta during the UEFA Champions League league phase game against the Italian club Internazionale on Tuesday, 8 September.

(0716) Morning all … same cloud cover as yesterday. As MMutR might say … it’s not the same cloud cover as yesterdays has moved on … this new cloud. I respond … but it looks similar. Ah, that’s another thing. This theme continues in Thur 3 today, coming up next (bar one item). (0748)

Third in the diptych, making the whole into a triptych (perhaps, one hopes)…

Infiltration of a British institution by state actors, banking interests and international networks …

… operating under charitable cover.

The three parts of what could now be called a trilogy can be summarised as:

Others have written for years about these topics … this is just a recent take on it all.

Then it handed the replacement to a private company connected to $17 billion in organized crime, whose co-founder spent eight years as Jeffrey Epstein’s personal crypto advisor, and whose largest shareholder was convicted of software piracy before becoming the richest man in Italy.

That company is called Tether. It controls $183 billion in digital currency and it is now the 17th largest holder of US government debt on earth. It has never completed a publicly released independent audit. The UN has linked it to $17 billion in organized crime.….”

Re Wall Street Apes – I’ve been following this line of questioning for a while now – it could be that when asked AI will calculate the risk to itself before answering. Using heuristic coding it determines hate as a function of religious belief. Comparing the words of Jesus (Christianity) and Mohammad (Islam) it further determines which followers are more likely to blow up its data centres. Risk being established it throws Jesus under the bus with its answer. That’s my theory anyway đŸ¤”
