This morning’s theme is about showing the inner workings of my “redacting brain” whenever, first thing in the morning, I open first the mail, then comments at HQ and at NOWP, plus scroll down my X homepage for anything basically new happening.
Anything earlier Steve probably caught last evening.
This process does tend to push me more and more to the centre, as both sides’ opposed takes on any given issue fill the column inches. Apart from straight out globery and wokery, which I skip past, I do at least try to look through, unless there’s clickbaitery going on. Time is too precious … it’s 0342 now, I have OoL to post, plus DAD kicks in early morn, plus there’s an NOWP issue today.
I have to wait for DAD to complete 1389 before starting 1390, because Steve has a youtube better up at NOWP 1390:1 … these sorts of decisions are happening the whole time.
All right, have a quick look at this, my comments page inside … first two from the top Steve’s, the two below IYE’s:

The decision process … Elon is a problem in that he makes redaction difficult on X:

The sheer ugliness of that huge black subscribe button is offputting if quoting, so I’d cut it out and just say it’s Elon. If you need the url, it’s in comments as you see. Were I to run it in the post, it would expand and it does not bring anything new this morning, plus the column inch requirement is too much.
By the way … to get the Doge Designer post, I’d have to click and expand … but lose Elon’s post in the process. It’s not designed for reportage or quoting.
The youtube is for 1390, not up yet as I await DAD up to two hours from now.
All right … IYE’s big comment … well put together of course but this leah he’s latched onto … highly biased anti-Trump, as Massie, Cornyn etc. are. That’s an issue in the US just now due to traitor Thune preventing the programme Donny was elected for. Yes, you can well argue against Iran, plus Argentina (coming up) but Thune is damaging the internal programme.
Anyway, the link works in comments.
Tulsi resignation is quite worth a read … shall quote IYE on that. (Post ends at 0407 by the way … coffee and toasted teacake time. Light coming up outside.)
I “latched onto her” as you put it because of her analysis and because she quotes her sources, which others can check. Her biases are noted as I have pointed out before but can be put to one side once one is aware of them. Same with the Gateway P which is also biased. There’s no clear cut black or white issue when trying to decipher what is really going on so there’s a good case for looking at all the shades of grey in between. If we dismiss out of hand because of our own biases then we are participating in the cancel culture we profess to abhor. No one has a monopoly on facts.
Leah was pro Massie as was I to a point. She’s anti Donny as am I now the more I unearth about him which I do not always bring here. I’m also anti all politicians with their noses in the trough which includes all parties. The depths of the corruption takes some believing. Rupert gets a pass at the moment but he’s the only one. It is a waiting game with him for obvious reasons so it is unclear whether he will deliver his promises or if he will even be a chance to.
……
JH: Yes, IYE, just yes. 😁
Trying to understand what’s happening can be like viewing a massive canvas full of intricate detail. Looking at me corner of this canvas won’t tell the full story, a glance to the other side can reveal connections which would otherwise be missed. That’s why I read the captured scientific publications, what is discovered today will surely be weaponised tomorrow. Similarly an apparent throw away comment in a Grauniad op-ed today is tomorrow’s water cooler conversation and government policy next week. The canvas in front of us is full of information and it can give us a clue as to what the future holds.
