(0929) The morning proceeds. Had to kill some wildlife. (1042)
15. To be added to what we have
14. Reform honchos are out in force today
… spelling error on my part here:
13. Just to add to the drops
12. And whilst we’re on that demographic
11. This theme gets more and more weird
The day started for me with a look at reliable people, false prophets and bias which clouds judgement. As part of that, I ran Master Jack, by Four Jacks and a Jill, the Jill being Glenys Lynne … South African band.
I intended it to be that … though we can learn from others to a point … at some stage, we have to start exploring more widely. Wiki says that too. However, there are other interpretations and mine has been an interpretation which has kept me mostly out of trouble through my own life.
But first, Glenys’s own interpretation:
Uh huh. Why is the Wiki in Afrikaans? Each member of that group has an English name. I also fail to understand white South Africans. Speaking with Chuckles, from N.O. days, I started speaking about the British or English there, as distinct from the Boer.
He almost jumped down my throat … I was not to call them Boer. Uh huh. And his lot were not English but English speaking South Africans. Right, right, whatever, Chuckles. I was starting to get the idea that Verwoerd etc. were mostly anti blacks but the English speaking were far more liberal. I could well have been wrong.
Onto the song. WN1 and I had a song, “Islands in the Stream” (Dolly and Kenny). Another song which has stayed with me because it’s very much my life, though I reject “desperado” or “drifter”, “just because I get around” is:
Interesting how Frey and Co were not particularly nice people and yet their songs were first rate.
Then onto Master Jack. Yes, well I’m not going to argue with Glenys, if that’s what she says, esp. as a former lover of mine was a Glenys … about walking away from a gold mine? Yeah, maybe … or maybe goldmine can mean that a girl has found an older mentor but now starts seeing a change. And that’s the interpretation I’ve gone with all my working life, esp. in Russia, where there are countless opportunities and a man must hold back … for everyone’s sake. It’s a great song for a man to keep with him as a reminder. Toodles wrote: “You behave just enough to keep out of trouble, but also have fun!” Uh huh.
(0712) Morning all. Sunny, blindingly so in the sunroom, exacerbating my own vision issues which I think are to a large extent screen proximity … nuff on all that. Had to go back to the darker bedroom/gym to get a bit of contrast going. (0806)
10. Moo corner
9. Thune and Johnson in cahoots
8. Another health advice thingy picked up along the way
7. Similar vein … about homicides this time
On Quora, a leftist Readers Digest type newsletter. The quoted wiki gives rates in the first data column … fine … Turks and Caicos, wherever that is, comes out as the n1 bad place you don’t need to be. But in the intro, the aim was to hit Russia as the n1 dangerous place.
6. Themes tend to suggest themselves each day
… today’s seems to be “reliability of incoming intel”. Whitsun 1 was basically all about that, also kaitjustice, also leah (scroll down, in comments).
For some reason, I had no trouble going through kaitjustice … I read it all … and then turned back to leah, unsure why I was reticent. Was it coz I adore Donny? Hardly. Was it coz of Massie, a revolting person to my mind? It certainly wasn’t IYE, Steve, any factor like that.
There was just something though. Puzzled.
So I determined to “wade” through it. And almost immediately … oh no. It’s paywall, like Steve’s one I saw before that … which puts me out. However, to be fair, leah provided sub titles as one cannot access her voice unless one pays $$$$$$. She goes on and on about being paid.
Then she goes on about trying to be one of the top 10 pundits … red flags all over the place … klaxons going off … and we must pay her to do that. Then those tatts … women with tatts and what it says about their judgement, yet upfront about it all (a good thing in itself) … especially about having fallen down her stairs and broken her tailfin or whatever … condolences … ok, this is the world of the female … my attitude is mainly => luv em.
Finally to the topic => Donny and why she dislikes him and wants us all to know. Slowly, as the subtitles began, she had good intel, she’d done her homework, excoriating Trump and how he operates. No arguments from me … and so it proceeded.
Then the side by side pics of Obama’s inauguration and Trump’s. That was naughty of her. It showed Bummer’s at the point of speeches but I remember that Trump pic of people coming to the event earlier … at the point of speeches, Donny had about the same crowd … but leah is trying to show no one wanted Donny. Bollox.
Then she starts on the 2020 and “claims” of a coup. Bollox again, leah … many sources in the past days have simply confirmed it … but leah ignores all that, coz she has a narrative.
And this is the main difference between her and kaitjustice. The latter just lays out names and events, dates.
Now don’t get me wrong … leah brings many good points … Donny is no angel and his modus operandi is quite questionable … so leah wins … but … but … but … still … you get the drift.

1. The state of play … an op ed of sorts
Being hopefully still of clear(ish) mind, still sceptical, even of my own shibboleths beyond the Trinity, the latter seeming in my heart to be more and more strongly indicated as we go on, one observes all the bits and pieces of evidence of what “the other side” has in mind, what’s been long term planned … so why not start with IYE’s kaitjustice (you can find her in a recent comment).
Then I strongly suggest leah (I’m about to re-read), plus other items we have up, plus those found through our blogrounds and other rounds. Some are better than others.
Andy’s comment was to the point:
Trying to understand what’s happening can be like viewing a massive canvas full of intricate detail. Looking at me corner of this canvas won’t tell the full story, a glance to the other side can reveal connections which would otherwise be missed. That’s why I read the captured scientific publications, what is discovered today will surely be weaponised tomorrow. Similarly an apparent throw away comment in a Grauniad op-ed today is tomorrow’s water cooler conversation and government policy next week. The canvas in front of us is full of information and it can give us a clue as to what the future holds.
There are some fine intellects contributing (Steve drops in David Starkey) … do your reading, peeps, inc. the forbidden reading … key scriptures of the Christian kind. Why would you turn away? Coz you’re programmed to … simple. Similarly, why are so many youngsters Woke? Coz they’re programmed to be.
There’s much to be said for learning from a wise person, as long as that person is driven by truth and other factors don’t start kicking in. Sherlock said to Watson, about Colonel Moran, about a tree:
Sherlock Holmes is comparing Colonel Sebastian Moran’s descent into crime to the unsightly, sudden eccentricity of a tree. He uses this metaphor to explain to Dr. Watson how men with distinguished pedigrees sometimes inexplicably deviate into evil. [1, 2]
The specific conversation occurs in The Adventure of the Empty House when Holmes breaks down the criminal pedigree of his adversary (once famously noted in Holmes’s index as “The second most dangerous man in London”). [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Holmes explains Moran’s eccentric turn to Watson:
“There are some trees, Watson, which grow to a certain height, and then suddenly develop some unsightly eccentricity. You will see it often in humans. I have a theory that the individual represents in his development the whole procession of his ancestors, and that such a sudden turn to good or evil stands for some strong influence which came into the line of his pedigree.” [1, 2]
He theorizes that Moran, despite a brilliant military career and distinguished family, simply carried a fatal genetic predisposition to villainy that asserted itself in his later years.
Even a Pope can tell you things which start as truth, then one gets to the embellishments he/she adds, for his/her own reasons, such as in the old song Master Jack, by Four Jacks and a Jill:
Holmes used the metaphor of the tree trunk … the search for truth in a way and I in turn look at what people always revert to when pressed … for many today, Science, as perceived through their Royal Society lens or their Info Tech lens, their cyber lens, their chosen field … and then they look no further … western traditionalists revert to the philosophers … Aristotle, Plato, Kant … while those more ancient revert to the Gospels, plus certain OT texts, as a good starter.
Bearing all the above in mind, here are some items from this morning. First off, Rupert’s take on Saturday’s canvassing in Makerfield … methought it a most measured take … by no means Restore steamrolling it … but neither were Reform nor Labour. (See post Saturday 22 at Unherdables HQ).
Then I took a shot at Zoomers up to Gen X yesterday, pointing out that educational standards across the west dipped sharply after 1971, when courses started going Fabian Woke, open plan etc. This was one interesting response from a mid Gen Xer:
Then Donny and world events:
Uh huh. Meanwhile, the head techie at X writes:
Only the other day, one of our chaps sent something from Nawfal …shows just how careful one needs to be.
Now, take all that through the filters of Kaitjustice and Leah (see IYE in comments), then revert to what you revert to as your core truth, core gospel … and ask yourself the question … do the normies out there with the vote, inc. badly educated Zoomers and Millennials, ferret to anywhere near the extent required? Or do they latch onto first one “truth”, then a counter-truth, then another? Do we ourselves keep questioning?
But having found a core truth, do we further question that or have a bit of faith and incorporate it in our Canon?
