(0727) Morning all. The sky can’t make up its mind. I saw a Red and blue dawn to the south-east but by the time I’d gathered footstool and ipad, it had hurriedly moved south and I could not get a good shot. There was though, a roof in the way, with cupola and cross … going to check it out sometime later, never knew it was there. (0824)

5. All Hallows Day
So far, I’ve seen no one “get the idea” better than the young Scot and so am going to run it again:
The point which got me like a smackeroo blurby, right between the eyes was that the dates don’t matter, except with the Sunday, the sabbath, which gets into the six days work biz. Plus you’ll still pull a sheep out of the ditch on shabbat if he/she falls in
But the marker days, where holy-days overlaid old pagan high days was, says the young Scot … whichever date seems right from your reading … which in itself is a dangerous message … in that it seems to suggest our own interpretation of the Word is fine. No it’s not. Tradition has it in those days, e.g. today’s All Saints … and most denominations are ecumenical on this, they observe it in some form today … but it’s certainly not “written” which day.
But the seventh day of rest is written, so were the ten commandments, including the pesky (to some) second commandment. No you can argue “never was a Moses, Abraham, no Noah, no Flood” … that’s your affair with your fate … I choose the biblucal idea that there was certainly something went on back then and as I’m not arrogant enough to set my understanding above that, I’ll roll with that, either allegorically or for real.
The bottom line is that we have guidelines for personal behaviour coming down through the ages, we get the idea of chivalry too in Ephesians and elsewhere, we have a great underpinning for society right there. Why invent another which allows us to screw whomever we want, do as we will? Coz it’s lawless and destructive. In Lord Toby’s today was this:
“In Britain, according to the Times, a third of under-30s have never been in a relationship at all. And forget the image of the swinging bachelor. Nearly one in three American men aged 18-24 had no sex in the previous year, up from one in five in the early 2000s. Among young women, the rise was far smaller – from 15% to 19%. So much for the sexual revolution. Why are so many young men being left out? I’ve had a YouTube conversation about all this with Ali Mahmoudiyan, a 27 year-old sociology student at the….”
At that point I clicked out … firstly, I’m not going to be lectured by anyone of that name and secondly, the question of sex at whatever age, phrased as if it’s bad not to, completely misses the point … were they married or not married? That’s the key point. Sex is just part of marriage, not outside it.
I made a joke about rediscovering my virginity but the point is, like so many of us out there … we were out of order and cumulatively, across the west … that’s where the real societal issues have stemmed from. Are you a reformed sinner now, far from being a saint … or have you just not had it for awhile?
And sociologically, what a messed up society with boss-girl feminazis living alone, bringing in men to service them as and when. How long does that society last, before being overrun?
So today’s Saints day has a particular edge to it I’d say, in 2026.

I came across this in my early morning search, Donald Tusk’s assault on Polish Sovereignty: a betrayal of the Nation.|
https://www.freespeechbacklash.com/article/polands-euro-coup
Then:
a) Marine Le Pen vowed to overturn France’s 2017 ban on new oil and gas exploration if elected president, opposing EU climate policies amid high fuel prices across Europe.
b) France opposes Hungary’s Orban as next UN Secretary General. France rejected former Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban as a potential UN Secretary-General, calling it an inappropriate consolation prize for a leader voted out by his people. [Let’s watch what macron does after his Presidential term ends next year.]
c) Tusk’s plan is simple, Tarczynski.
d) Germany and France will push to scrap a landmark European Union goal to reach climate neutrality for cars by 2035, after agreeing a deal to protect their domestic industries against intensifying global competition.
e) Rubio sends Brazil’s Lula the right message. The U.S. granted a visa to Brazilian presidential candidate Flavio Bolsonaro after his election defeat, as prosecutors moved to confiscate his passport amid money laundering allegations.
