20. The church militant and the church compliant
There are two Pauline “modes” so to speak, which has caused quite different, even diametrically opposite takes on what a Christian should be.
One is Romans 12:17-21, which is the “soft” mode, the gentle lamb, complying with directives and if abused, turning the other cheek … quietly going to the arena to be ravaged by lions.
The other, far more my style, is Ephesians 6:10-17, far more militaristic in tone but the “soft camp” still see the militarism as metaphorical. The “hard camp” point to the example of Jesus overturning the tables of the moneylenders, “we” would point out that tolerance of evil is no Christian virtue. Is it biblical though?
I’m thinking of Danny Tommo in Dover and Portsmouth … in the first, quite militant yet not aggressive, which seems to combine the Romans with the Ephesians. Personally, methought he conducted himself and his thousand very well. The notion of allowing the bullying enemy complete impunity to do as he pleases … well let’s just say it’s not in my character to do that.
How do I see “turn the other cheek” then? I can only see it as the default position with another equal. As for a dangerous foe hellbent on our destruction … no way do you “turn the other cheek” to that. It’s insane … we were imbued with this protective instinct … if we see a sheep in the ditch, we get him out, right?
As for militancy … well look at how I conduct myself on the blogs and on X … am I aggressively evangelistic, tub thumping Ian Paisley?
On Sunday, in this post, with a reference in Sun 1 as well … maybe … but overall … well you see how I am.
And now to the burning of churches and mosques. My anger at the church burnings is the aesthetic anger at very old architecture being destroyed. Christianity itself? Well of course not … the (small c) church is the worldwide meeting of minds, souls. Destroying bricks and mortar, stones, is tragic but it’s not the faith being destroyed, far from it. I’m assuming it’s the same with enemy buildings.
How worried are globopsycho about it all today? I’d say a fair bit … for themselves individually, being taken and executed, ruined … but the war games? I’m sure some of the nutters really do want WW3 to wipe out humanity. The others? Self-protection I’d say.

Something BIG is brewing in Europe, the UK and the Middle East…. In the last couple of weeks the corrupt UK government has advised people to stockpile food, water etc….to prepare for national emergencies.
In the last couple of days it’s been reported that Germany is preparing civilian hospitals for mass casualties in a NATO conflict. France is running out of oil!!!! Macron is calling the G7 back to the table to discuss another release of emergency oil stocks as Europe loses Saudi crude deliveries and diesel prices push deeper into record territory. Russia’s Kirill Dmitriev says Europe is facing the “worst energy crisis in history.” He has also said in the last 24hrs that energy lockdowns are coming.
Late last night 19th September….Oil refinery in south of Moscow gets attacked after Ukranian strikes. MIDDLE EAST In the last 24-48hrs…. Iran has issued “Code 100,” its highest alert level, for all armed forces, covering the IRGC, the Army and security forces, per initial reports. US Embassies across the entire Middle East, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman have just issued new STEP security alerts, warning Americans of flight cancellations, airspace closures and travel disruptions amid a risk of sudden escalation.
Late last night 19th September, a United States Air Force B-1B Lancer long-range strategic bomber took off from RAF Fairford, United Kingdom for an unknown direction. Also the US issues a security alert for the Middle East. Netanyahu has cut short his trip to the US and cancelled the planned Texas stop, flying to New York and returning to Israel the same day, shortly after Trump cut short his own weekend short. Trump abruptly cut short his Camp David weekend and returned to the White House Saturday night 19th September with no explanation. F-16 intercepts aircraft that violated Camp David airspace with Trump on site.
Saudi Arabia confirms Yemen’s Houthi rebels tried to attack its capital with ballistic missile. Today on the 20th September….North Korea has launched a suspected ballistic missile. In the last 48hrs…..Cuba and Argentina suffer HUGE Nationwide blackouts as their power grids have collapsed. My take on happenings as things escalate on the world stage…..
The EU and NATO are preparing for war and are planning a major False Flag/attack somewhere in Europe, then blame Russia to bait them into war. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is also to stop the US midterm elections from happening in November, and to stop of the ‘Far Right’ parties from rising up across Europe.
There is no doubt that there is mass PANIC happening all over the world as the takedown accelerates. It’s not going to slow down. We are about to arrive at the precipice. Buckle up.

Aah yes the on loan fleet of B-52’s taking it to Ukraine.
A single B1 took off to somewhere and all hell is breaking loose somewhere, apparently, possibly,
Netty and Trumpy run for home. Could have a bad dose of the shits for all we know.
Anyone else remember sandwich board men on their rounds? Could do with a few today.

Thought I would make the best of a few days good weather, and head off in the Motorhome. Now it looks like it might be the last time I get to do so. I will sleep soundly tonight….NOT!

A couple of momenrs of due dilgence as in inputting a question to a search engine brought me this.
Notably, its afterburners were turned on, this could indicate that it was loaded with bombs, although they often take off this way during training sorties as well
