… sailors’ warning. And that’s what we have outside here now. I’ve been thinking. Yep, I know that sounds astounding but I have.

And with very dic(e)y times coming up … can’t make plans, except plan b and plan c types, because I’m in the hands of megolithic organisations, inc. govt. Therefore, I must prioritise:

With no remaining family and being retired, then I am appreciative of two proxy families, plus a sort of job in this news gathering, collating and posting, plus quite a few friends who are real friends.

One spinoff is that it brings in others, some who’ve been around for 9 to 19 years … what of them? Because we, not just I, have created this far-flung haven, tavern, chapel and we all see our various purposes, usefulness, continue, each in his/her own way, including outside of this site of course. It’s a complex.

The world and in our case Brit situation is about to see the shutting down, the control of information and there are many of us and those we don’t yet know who are working against that. There are cyber ways to do it now, very much so.

There is also a Triune God underpinning society as it was, both here and across the pond (plus the ditch) and even though most readers here do not buy that, as it’s a secular site, it’s still so and the principles beneath it require us to be actively helping the fellow humans of our “tribe” … plus operating from some sort of moral compass:

Of course … just look at Thune and the demonrats/RINOs, exploiting and ripping off. Wrecking the very fabric.

But it needs an eco-habitat, so to speak, a citadel or twenty from where to operate, and each of us has our own home haven, even if just a tent … mine is dependent on all the parts balanced, from home to supplies to you lot … even one ripple in the water is felt by all parts of the pond. It’s Dirk Gently’s “fundamental interconnectedness of all things”. No man is an island and though I’m quite sigma, difficult and obstinate by nature, I do recognise how we’re all connected.

How does any newcomer fit in? Depends on the willingness to assimilate, does it not? Just as in our society out there. In the past few weeks, I’ve breached both the moral code (badly), plus the principles of “tribe”, and it’s upset the applecart big time. It’s even been noticed in Canada and downunder.

Plus there’s another issue. More than one close person has asked … and just how do I, who’ve only just got back in the black since the messy and destitute 2008 homecoming, barely rebuilding resources … how do I plan to gallivant off on a new adventure … esp. in these times, at this age, with this autumn crash coming up, plus the winter of our discontent?

At the same time, a couple of my nearest and dearest have been trying to push the agenda fwd … faster, faster, faster, do it now … rush, rush, rush, push, push, push … and all that that produces in me is slow down, slow down, take longer, take longer … maybe even forever. And where did I even get that advice from? From one of the “faster, faster” advocates now.

Which brings me to dementia and physical incapacity. I am seven years older than one of my oldest, plus newest friends, and with the greatest respect in the world, I do remember seven years ago, before the covid and vaxx scam … faster, faster, faster was my mood, reflected in the songs I posted at NO … go at breakneck speed, get it done now!

“Why?” asks the 2026 me. “What’s the hurry?”

See, the 2026 me sees the end of my road ahead, which I’m thinking might also be messy … will I even manage to get to the dementia bit? It’s in the hands of My Maker, is it not? One of my friends strongly rejects the idea of a “contract” with God … however, as with the Blues Bros, there’s certainly a Mission from God … even a secularist can see that. And is it not what we’re all doing … readers, contributors, me … is this not our bit for our people? So we can go out, like Sydney Carton, doing a far, far better thing etc.?

Quick word about health … due to avoiding the medicos, eating only what I buy and cook, keeping it as pure as poss, exercising, if only through chores and up and down stairs, plus preparing this blog each day, sticking to a core routine, a known-known … a place for everything and everything in its place (think of DAD’s manor in France), plus maintaining a network of friendships of varying degrees, praying everyone keeps on keeping on … I’m in pretty good nick this morning, with a nice piece of sirloin for lunch later. Let’s say I’m staving off dementia for now … plus Steve has been posting health articles everyday now.

Is there room for anyone else? Heck yes, why not? But not at the risk of wrecking everyone and everything else … coz that’s narcissistic and I do not wish, any longer, to be narcissistically gallivanting around the world at my pleasure and leisure. I have to be building, maintaining, supporting now. Protecting what we still have before it’s taken away by Enemy.
