Have zero idea what SEND is meant to be about but here goes anyway

Katie Zacharia has just taken the podium for her first press briefing at the White House. She’s reading her brief without autocue. She’s a little nervous but that’s to be expected as she takes over from the incomparable Karoline Leavitt. First question from Breitbart News with only one after that as she’s off to Alaska on Airforce One. Lovely teeth btw 😁
MI5 chief is worried about threats from the ‘Extreme Right-Wing’, cites two errant children in his threat update. Says nothing about the threat to our civilization from the extremists sitting in Parliament, them who are hell-bent on destroying our society with mass uncontrolled immigration. He’s concerns himself with the ‘cohesion of our society’. Someone should tell him the political class have been busy demolishing our once settled society for more years than he’s been alive. Highly intelligent but seems unable to see the wood for the trees. Yer tis..
Alan-thanks heaps for explaining so succinctly the meaning of SEND.
Obviously, from reading the info on Tuesday 12 it had to do with education and most likely for children with special needs be it gifted or learning disabilities.
But still… what is SEND, I kept asking myself. I could have looked it up as I usually attempt to do for the mind 🫨numbing acronyms (I speak for myself) which when I look them up, as often as not, the results are not one that applies😖to the subject at hand 😬🫤!
For you to share what the SEND thingy actually means…stands for… that is a load off my mind.
It does seem to me that whomever is working closely with Rupert Lowe might suggest that any time he uses and acronym to use the spelled out version of the words first and then follow with the letters from there on out. Being an American I am probably the only one reading Tues.,Post 12, besides James, who didn’t know the meaning.
Of course there is no way I can vote for RL (not initials for that American clothes designer, Ralph Rueben Lifshitz, aka Ralph Lauren), Rupert Lowe, but if I could I would vote for that honourable man.
