And let’s face it … would you prefer waking up to “we’re doomed, doomed y’hear” or to… “Morning, you intelligent, discerning, patient patrons …” or similar? (Brits of course would recognise Private Frazer in that “doomed” one and might smile at it.)

And one thing clear to me is that my focus needs to be not only on news gathering as we’ve been doing but also doing my own “magpie mind” thing in “bits from here and there I find” and bring them back to this nest. The Magpie Mind this Sunday morn

• Why is my health alternately good, then terminal, then back to good? It’s currently as fit as a fiddle (are fiddles fit ? No matter).

• Saw this after I’d been looking at the Hebrew word “berr eh sheet” (expanded further down):

In other words … integrity, reputation within our “community”, what our name means is everything. Yes, esp. in this community here, where deep diving and accuracy are essential. Also the baddies will always exploit our weaknesses.

• This berr-eh-sheet word. It’s the Hebrew start of Genesis but does not mean just “in the beginning” but “at the beginning of”. Apparently, St Jerome took it as just “beginning”, as the Greeks took it that way. But the Hebrew context was that God is, am, always, eternal, and this was, is, will be the beginning of earth, life, of mankind. Even end of His work.

For some reason, I took that line, no idea why, in my long book … that things happen, not just because of a linear timetable, cause and effect, but because of conjunctions of circumstances, even IYE’s “coinky-dinks”. And the obvious question is … how random? Or is it designed and directed?

That berr-eh-sheet youtube had many things wrong with it in itself:

• It was AI, so key words were mispronounced
• It purported to be Christian, just called Bible Study, but used CE and BCE, which are dead giveaways of either Judaism or modern godless “scholarship”
• Which comes back to the short above, about reputation, and youtube’s is poor … sensationalist, with AI voice and errors

• Which in turn suggests it needs some site(s) to be dedicated to as many magpie gathered snippets as possible, for readers to be able to follow up, rather than to just sit like veges, soaking up uncritically.
• Which in turn means much more work on my part.
