Not sure this gritty episode is my fave of the series, plus they underused Lola Albright methought … in a later series, she sets up her own nightclub. Both were good, the detective was good, Mother was good. Might pause at 10 episodes, they’re easily found on the tube.
Browsing through the cast, I see Larri Thomas who played Sharon Moore was once married to John Bromfield. He was a cousin of Louis Bromfield the successful novelist and early proponent of organic farming. I haven’t read one of Bromfield’s novels for years, he doesn’t seem to be very well know these days although he won a Pulitzer Prize in 1927.
Anyway, I like the way this series doesn’t waste time in setting the scene, straight in at the start and then keeps going at a good pace.
