There is also that the devil has all the best tunes. Broadened, looking at Hallowe’en, why is that celebrated vastly more than All Hallows? Why is Easter about painted eggs and cake in so many children’s minds, but not about the Resurrection? Why Santa at Christmas? Is it Santamas?

The forces arrayed against any pushback, against any Damascene moments occurring are immense … against any exposure to the Word. Lost and bewildered people stumble into a church today to be met by rainbow warriors, sickos, in robes (vestments) or met by charismatic falling over and crawling sround, led by a “pastor” over in the corner. The charlatans have virtually taken over church buildings, those not being burnt out that is.
And yet the hymn Amazing Grace was a result of a Damascene moment, where the one believing, unobstructed by human intervention, found inner peace. How many millions in the past, unobstructed by the myriad scams and ideologies, philosophies, found inner peace?
And do children today know anything whatever of such things? In parts of America maybe, down south mainly.

The thing is with belief it can only be professed within as there is neither way nor need to prove your belief to another living being of this reality. Going to a special building to take part in a ritual can be done by believer and non believer alike the only being that would know the difference is the god.
Holding the belief in the god in the mind and making every action you do correlate with how you interpret your belief in the god will align action and belief so they become one which removes the duality of good and evil.
The reversing of the word lived was likely done to invent the world devil. Who did and when remains a mystery but it was someone who gained something from inversion as the inversion is how devil is manifested in mind and action.

The current “team good guy figure” Rupert Lowe doesn’t strike me to be a stupid man but he is lying because were he to speak the truth its game over for him.
The truth is this government aka the uniparty (an organisation which runs every country) is operating in bankruptcy. Its people are under a set of rules to which we are not privy controlled by people whose names are not known for reason unknown.
Humans have been conditioned to look for hope outside themselves. For some Farage is it, for others Burnham, for others Lowe and so on. People forget they all pee in the same pot. When faced with adversity they will all cave. It just depends on how much each of them is willing to risk beforehand.

The point there is “the lying spirit” was doing the Lord’s work.

Fwiw I stopped considering the meanings of bibical aka written words long ago as a teenager when I discovered there are hundreds of differing bibles, allegedly missing books, human meddling and alterations but motly because an onipotent god which can know the individuals intentions throughout their life in this reality has no need to write things down especially if its true that at the time these individual bibles were crafted, by men, most of the men alive at the time could not read nor speak the language used.
God has an inside connection to thought and deed and can judge the balance of belief in all including the deaf, dumb and blind.
Such eschatological questions predate the Genesis creation narrative, Bill. Thoughts about why we are here would still trouble us even if we had no religion. The other creatures we share this world with are not so burdened; they live in the moment, a place where time does not exist. To a wolf there is no here to there, there is only now. Man is doomed to wait out his existence because he knows he must die. But what after?

On the contrary. Life is lived. We will all find out about death at some point or perhaps we won’t after all none have any recall of birth.

Doomed as a verb is knowing that death is certain, Bill. There is no life without death. To your second point about time, and why I used it as a metaphor for the cycle of existence, is man has always been aware of it. Clocks and calendars are indeed all ‘man made’, but the seasons and the turning of the Earth have been with us since the beginning. The builders of Stonehenge had no watches but they knew what time it was.
The erectors of stonehenge definetely used clock and calendar. Its not as old as the “experts” want us to believe. A lot of documentary, pictorial, photographic evidence for this knocking about.
FWIW I use a 360 sun up calendar of my own invention (its composed of numbers and words written by marker on wooden cubes) in which the seasons are ninety sun ups long. I have used it for four years and judging by observing the natural world around me its spot on.
Solsrice to solstice is 180 sun ups. Equinox to solstice is 90 sun ups. Months are ten in number and are all 36 sun ups long.
