a) Bagayoko and Pigasse Deny Existence of Historic French People. French politician Marion Maréchal sparked debate by criticising immigration’s housing impact, prompting left-wing figures to deny the existence of indigenous French people.

b) Ireland shows Europe’s Silenced Majority spoiling for a fight. The “staggering” number of spoilt votes in the Irish presidential election is another sign of the widening gap between the people and the EU elites.

c) Mandelson criminal investigation under threat as Metropolitan Police waits for Epstein files. The documents held by the US Department of Justice are understood to be crucial to the Met’s decision on whether Lord Mandelson could be charged with misconduct in public office.

d) A reactor was produced under President Trump’s 2025 nuclear reactor plan. It was designed by Australian Bobby Gallagher and his team in Houston. It can produce one megawatt of power, at a cost of 15 cents per kilowatt hour, for five years before refuelling is required.

The entire reactor can fit on the bed of a Ford F150 pickup, as shown in the photo. More importantly, it can be manufactured in a factory, fits into one 20-foot shipping container, uses the existing conventional supply chain, and requires no exotic custom-made components.

e) If you open the ledgers of the global economy, you will find a data point so jarring, it sounds like an offensive joke: the citizens of the French Republic are now poorer than the residents of a rural trailer park in Mississippi.

“Birmingham City Council has revealed that staff witnessed attempts to breach the secret ballot at 50 polling stations during May’s local elections, with incidents including voters using hand signals and switching languages to circumvent the law. Lord Hayward, who introduced the 2023 legislation criminalising such conduct, has urged the Electoral Commission to investigate – warning Birmingham is unlikely to be the only council affected. The Mail has the story…”
