  1. Steve! I hope to soon make the Welsh Tea Fruit Loaf using your mum’s recipe. I only wish I had had it sooner for today.

Note that the recipe uses real standard measurements unlike the cold ones forced upon the world by the sophisticated and pompous Euro Trash leaders.

Use metric for the crummy meds they give us and for when very exact measurements for weapons of destruction, for example, are needed. Why do they need to be exact if they are destructive?

Recipes and clothing sizes and fabric measurements…I mean a yard…3 yards for a piece of cloth is natural to use. How many meters of poplin are needed for a skirt? No no no!

Can you see your Mum hassling herself over using the exact metric measurements for her cooking day in and day out? A teaspoon is so much easier and natural. It takes ages to do the metric measures… so exact. I I mean really… a bunch of malarkey.

I know baking needs to be more on point than dump cooking but all the weighing and making sure it is right on that metric line is a bit much on a day to day basis..at least for me. All the numbers… the milli this and the meter that and the so many grams gets on my last nerve!

I am most likely the only one around who feels this way. I could do the metric if I wanted. Our current currency, such as it is, is based on metrics. And yes, so many whatevers of whatever for meds. Fine use it for that like always, but puhleeze don’t take away the standard measurement from me!

Can you image the song Five Hundred Miles being song like…🗣️🎤🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶’ 804.672 kilometers, 804.672 kilometers, ….. Lord I’m 804.672 from my home.
Joan Baez might do some balking at that !

All of that to say, thanks for your mum’s recipe.
