Thursday [11 till close of play]

(1517) Afternoon all.

25. The ratchet

Interesting that IYE has chipped in at 1807 (time) over at 1460 (post), with something I was thinking of personally in the first paragraph. It then goes on, the quote, about our general polit-situation and yes … get on over there please, good readers and see what you think.

The personal part is that I am under more personal duress right now, since the beginning of July, than the horrible time in 2008, and before that 🤔 … hmmmmm, can’t think of many before that which were worse. What I have here is a real sword of damocles returning and I’ve warned readers that it could all stop, this socmed, in early September. Now, just as I cannot explain to you for security reasons, so I’m stuck, unable to fully explain to three people I should have been able to.

Were they understanding? Well one has been haranguing me in language which would make a sailor blush, the second told me yesterday to F off out of here … charming … and the third seems lost in a personal world but even if it were not so, I still would not be able to explain because the net is not secure … we are monitored, esp. with views like ours. As that angers my friends at me, so it frustrates me as well … they cannot understand the full situation because I simply cannot risk explaining.

There is a fourth friend and thus I’m blessed to even have four … and she said no explanations either way are necessary … just be there occasionally. Can do. A short way into September, it will be sorted or will fall apart, am not concerned in August, refuse to even think of it further.

What there is though is an intensity in this whole thing, a severity, which has really surprised me. You know how savages are savage and it’s pretty gruesome but fiends (sic) are another thing. Like Fauci, they take pleasure in severe pain. And this where I’ll drop in the IYE quote:

The Ratchet

The pattern across all three measures is identical. A crisis occurs. Emergency measures are introduced. The emergency measures become permanent infrastructure. The permanent infrastructure doesn’t reduce the likelihood of the next crisis — in some cases it increases it — but it never gets reversed.

Uh huh. The first crisis is either engineered to happen or made likely, the resultant disruption and distress is exploited, the knife is twisted in the wound, so to speak and it all just gets worse, people fall out and I saw fellow colleagues today on X really laying into one another, including me.

Now you can call this organic, bound to happen, logical. Uh huh … yes … but not the maniacal intensity … that stems from another source imho. One of my friends said today that she’d never acted quite like that before. I’m thinking there may well be something in me sending out bad vibes. Possible. Either way, it’s toxic, not good for anyone. Now, my very bad habit throughout my life has been to sort something out but if it is clear no one is listening to me, I tend to withdraw into myself and I feel it happening now, at 1900 Thursday.

Phone off, buzzer off, not replying to any nastiness. At least until tomorrow morning when Unherdables starts up again. Going to watch a film and respond to any normal messages, not nasty. Two purposes. One is to cut the nexus of anything fiendish, maybe demonic … the second is for sheer mental health, a bit of R&R overnight. Washing is up drying, had my supper, all is well.

Y’all have a good evening.
