I was showing a friend who did not know of the band this relatively (in the west) unsung group were popular in eastern Europe while I was there. In fact, I was talking to the trumpeter and leader, James Lynch about a possible tour in our corner of Russia at some point in the early 2000s. Ggl’s intro pics:

They were a project, not unlike Alan Parsons or Steely Dan but they realised they needed a human band to go public. The singer was coopted, other members … the genre is jaunty jazz blues rock funk … their big hit here was, “Would you go to bed with me/Straight to n1?”. Not sure I told my new friend that bit. So that song is NOT below.
However, three songs which also had airplay here are below … they were certainly distinctive.
