Monday [14 till close of play]

(1515) A bit out of it just now, nothing terminal, a bit yuk, that’s all … felt I should run something just to check in. Was talking to DAD earlier … better but still not a well cat.

22. Some of you good readers may have erroneously formed the opinion

… that we at Unherdables have a scathing view of politicians and the political class in general, especially in Davos. I’d like to point out, if I may, that nothing could be further from the truth … finest bunch of men and women ever to climb the greasy pole beyond competence.

21. Might try this

20. Someone put up an X

… asking who’s still listening to 70s music in 2025? I asked: “Wot, you mean like this?”

It was Buddy H in 1957, covered by Linda R in 1976, re-covered by this band in 2018.

19. A micro-roundup this time (1559)

15. At Konstantin Kisin’s, I saw this

If the writer means what I think, then agreed … it’s not too far away from “tolerance is not a Christian virtue”. Post tomorrow morning here, laze and gem, not well enough right now.

14. This is from Lord T

… I’ll run a post tomorrow morning at OoL on the topic …

  1. 21. You could start a cooking show on netflops “elevating the ordinary”. It would give Meh-again a run for her money… Her show has been postponed whilst the gruesome twosome do their performative grief in LA.

    ……

    JH: Now there’s a thought.

  2. I like Nigel but I remember him walking away after Brexit and leaving our useless politicians unaccountable. They screwed it up. So I’m not convinced he will see this through either and four and a half years is a long time.

Plus I’m not liking some of his decisions. Not deporting everyone. Disliking Tommy Robinson. He has only been in place a few months and he is already aligning with the other political parties and not aligning with his base.

Trump is a Felon and we know that is Lawfare but Robinson is a felon and that makes him a bad guy. Robinson has a lot of supporters that Nigel needs. Just because Robinson doesn’t fully align with Nigel he is out. A big mistake. He brings a lot to the table.

Finally, I don’t like Nigel having total control of the party. If he was really democratic the members would have a say and that includes on immigration and Robinson but Nigels party and Nigel makes the calls.

I believe this will be our last chance to fix this without out falling into a third world hellhole. Lets make the most of it and having someone who doesn’t align with the people will mean we will get other, fragmented, parties and the vote will be split.

I’m really disappointed but there is time. Will Nigel fix it? He has good intentions but will his ego win?
