This could be good news. I haven’t been following the Axel springer takeover of the torygraph but this article has given some detail. Some of their best writers and journalists have left, some to pitch up on substack. The readers are following them into the murky world of free journalism and edgy opinions. Bring ‘em on, ‘bout time they got a heavy dose of truth.

I bought a Kit-Kat Chunky recently. Made me feel sick. Can’t eat Cadbury chocolate anymore. Same reason. Must be the palm oil as neither affected me before they started using it:
Cadbury first added palm oil and other vegetable fats to certain chocolate products, including Dairy Milk, around 2009, shortly after Mondelez (then Kraft) took over the company. This change partially replaced cocoa butter with palm oil, primarily as a cost-saving measure and to improve shelf life and texture. In regions like New Zealand and Australia, the introduction of palm oil sparked immediate consumer backlash due to both taste changes and environmental concerns over deforestation linked to palm oil production.
