(1102) Some thoughts during elevenses. (1142)
Three sshots put together
… each in itself relevant but together?

French lady, Marie … and on both those points, they are highly likely to influence how she looks and feels.
On the hourglass point … indeed. In my own case, were I to view my life up to my heart attack, it was with no concept of future, no concept of the hourglass running out. Between that and a certain age, I was still making plans. After that though:
- There were certain new glitches now and then to overall good health
- Increasing loss of memory and physical balance
- A slowly more clear sight of the end of the road
- A resultant “don’t care any more” mentality
- The need to slow down time and conserve this precious resource fast running out.
However, my cultural roots and basic faith said yes, Jimbo … you must keep caring, you’ve had a charmed run, now it’s your turn.

I don’t like her public swearing, the lack of control, the compass in some ways … and yet, for her as a working age person, on a low wage with high rentals and costs … plus decades of future ahead … I do care for our young and what they’re walking into.
I see the young bucks in Restore are grumbling at Rupert, plus his own inner family and friends are telling him to cut and run (retire) … the young bucks can see only betrayal by the olds, being lied to, they are also barely educated today, also zero Christian culture or attitudes to fall back on for support.

Look at that 84 … she ain’t no child anymore but by the same token, not yet middle-aged … call her youngish. Yet her public behaviour is quite different to Tina’s. Is that being Floridian as against English perhaps?
And there’s the moral underpinning of society again. Which moral literature would you suggest Tina and that entire generation revert to … or learns?
There’s an old Anglican prayer which asks: “Bless, guide, protect, give comfort to and courage…”
There was a tweet yesterday by some chap on the train, pointing out that when those underpinnings were still there, it was basically safe to get about … if you made an agreement, then by and large it bound both parties … in public, your first thought was not to sucker punch or stab someone, burn a car … it was to let each live his/her life.
Don’t think there’s any need to further labour the point.
