Civil war as Them’s penultimate goal?

Back to the timing of this article … the comments all seem to be from a year ago, plus the moosh plastered onscreen is Starmer’s … yet a notice on the Grauniad excerpt said:

Now, I just watched through it by 0900 and was looking for when the Christian message came in … his being a Christian channel. He just asked at the end, “How do we, as Christians, respond to this?”

Now that’s a far deeper question, for Christians, than the godless (or substitute gods entrapped) or biblically unread might imagine. There are two distinct concepts here, two different camps so to speak … those who take “turn the other cheek” literally, under all circumstances, which over half of women plus soft men subscribe to … let’s all be civilised, love each other, even our raping and murdering hordes, coz we’re all human beans.

That one was covered by Michael Palin in his Ripping Yarns episode on The Raj, in which he had Richard Vernon act as the kindly overlord while his property was being stormed by Indian warriors. RV was asked what was he going to do?

“Be kind. Offer them a cup of tea.”

That works to a point with dogs … being calm, acting slowly … but it as sure as hell doesn’t with murderous savages bearing down on you.

The opposite “camp” is the real warrior type, e.g. our armed forces, the old style of men who nevertheless subscribe to the western underpinnings of Christianity. Plus Boadicea types, Joan of Arc (you’ll see them at Restore or MAGA, One Nation downunder). These understand reconquista, crusades … they go by the adage that “tolerance of evil is no Christian virtue” … and I see the YS as being of that sort. I am too. Failing to be a man is also a betrayal of those we protect … or should be.

I see “Christians” today as being part of usually one of three groups:

• those primarily book based or the Word
• those of formal, manmade denominations with hierarchies, wealth, rituals
• those part of cults not based on the Word, except to cherry pick bits supporting their stance.

I see the young Scot as part of the first group. He and I, and let’s include Toodles, might be of different nominal “denominations”, and in different parts of the world, but our common language is Word. Still doesn’t get us out of conflict though, if only for that “turn the other cheek versus defend your home” question. Discussion sorts out those kinds of questions though.

Then we get converts from their own antecedents, cultural underpinnings and they can go any of those three ways or in fact be still loyal to their old religion, mixed with the new in their heads … a hybrid faith. It’s a minefield.

Then we get the lapsed. Nuff said.

Then we get the Jade type. She’s one of those raped girls who was in the report and she tweeted yesterday that she does not believe in a God who allowed that to happen but is thinking of going to her local Catholic church. Catholic, think I? With the Chicago thug, let’s make an interfaith World Church theology in charge?

Then we get the genuinely devout and very brave in Nigeria and in Syria, to name two places, being slaughtered without limit by the satanists in those countries. They’re literally dying for their faith, in gruesome ways.
