As mentioned at 1466:18, DAD appears to be having posting issues at NOWP, whilst IYE appears to also be having here … see comment under Sat [6&7].
I’m also getting reports (plural) from America that they’re not receiving youtube access to certain youtubes from over here. Add to that my spam attack issue (see yesterday’s post item 6). Plus the keyboard not typing the keys I’m tapping but the ones beside them.
Any common factors? Well maybe it’s only the nourishing unherdable set of sites, no one else has issues. Also, it seems to be our France-based chaps plus me. Our Brit-based seem to have escaped.

Now, as to IYE, I would never delete a Miss Marple … or was it a comment, in comments, on Miss Marple? Not sure. At least, if I did, there would be an explanation, especially for one of our three main “droppers”. Plus IYE did not return yesterday. France again?

1. Gab is 10 today

Gab was certainly an idea which had its day, maybe still does but it seems to be largely American in scope, in the 2016 MAGA mould, even Q, Christian Nationalist (an interesting concept). I still have one friend over there posting, Lainey.
No t’interweb issues here in the north west of Britain. Mind I use an old Android OS, a Porteus Linux OS and a Damn Small Linux OS on ancient devices. None of that microsoft/apple rubbish.
Cloudflare “security check” is the only intermittent intrusion (sometimes it just doesn’t work) into going where I need to go. If it intrudes I just take it that I don’t actually need to visit that site in the first place and move on.

My good lady needs medication for life. Up until she hit her 60th birthday she had a five month prescription and she had to go the surgery, write her order out and pop it in a box on the counter.
She then went and collected her five months supply from the chemist of her choice.
Well that changed as “the 60” meant she was sent an invite to attend her doctors for an nhs “health assessment”. Not that there is anythng wrong with her…but “there might be”. She ignored the invite.
Then another letter arrived about a fortnight later from the “practice manager” informing her that uness she called in for a blood test she was reducing her five month prescription to one month at a time.
The good lady has no thyroid gland. The gp should know this. Her thyroxin prescription is vital. So we went straight up and had a heated discussion, as we were both livid, with the gp in the reception, not in her consulting room (her husband was finishing his sandwich in there), where it quickly became clear the gp didn’t have a clue that she had no thyroid.
(Her original gp at the time of her operation retired and this gp is the lady he sold the practice to.)
It also became clear the gp knew the reduction in prescription was simply a way to force her to get the health check at 60 done. Getting it through to the gp that the good lady’s thyroid level cannot change as it is set by two daily tablets was like knocking a screw into stone.
End result was she had to sign a piece of paper saying she refused the health check and the gp ordered a stunned receptionist (there were three of them sat there with their gobs open) to sort an “automated prescription” and put it on the spine. She doesn’t have to attend the surgery to put a paper order in a box she now emails it through twice a year.
(When I asked the go “How can her thyroxin level change if she has no thyroid gland?” The gp replied “Bodies change”. Everyone there heard the penny hit the deck.)
On the label it states “prescription limited until a blood test is done”. Reasons why she is not going to get a blood test done is A, as stated her thyroxin level cannot change as she has no thyroid and B, the gp confirmed the blood test would be used to look for everything the 60 health check lists should be looked for.
Here’s the kicker. I just discovered recently there is an astonishing black market in India where institutions have been caught issuing fake certificated qualifications and those who bought them are those who seek work outside of India. Well this particular gp and her gp husband are I feel two of those people going off our experience and what we have heard of other people who are in that practice. Yes they are both Indian nationals if you hadn’t already guessed.
