While the performative Reform show goes on – and currently going hard on using the Royal Navy and Royal Marines to trap then drag the dinghy invaders back to the sandy beaches of the Pas-de-Calais. Problematic in the extreme. They should be stopped before they even get their feet wet. Focus on the rubber boat: tools you’ll need are a razor sharp bill hook and a sledge hammer. Expand your thinking from those two things and a plan begins to form. In fact the plan was actioned Easter of 2022 and it worked. Logistics and self-defence were essential and the team returned home safely. Proof of concept established. That is all.
Part of the problem is that the French, and to some extent the Belgian, authorities will not allow what they will see as criminal damage in their country, especially by Britons. Add to this is the expected physical reprisals by the small boat invaders, which will probably be seen as self defence. The French don’t want them in their country. Calais, which was a lovely town, is a shithole. If they want to sail to England, it will no longer be their problem, and if the British government is naive and stupid enough to give the French government millions of Pounds to wave the invaders on their way, so much the better. In fact, having the French navy escort them halfway across the Channel, then leave them just before they enter British waters and immediately ‘become in distress’, shows just how much in contempt the French government holds this country in. One thing that, personally, annoys me is the pre-arranged meetings between the French and the RNLI and Border Farce so the invaders can be collected and brought into Dover. Another example of the contempt the French hold us in, and the contempt the government has for it’s citizens in authorising this to happen.
A recent video by a Tory MP on the French beaches showing the Gendarmes doing nothing and, allegedly UK, NGO members giving him abuse while helping the invaders. Who are these people? Are they British, and which NGO or charity is paying them? Perhaps more publicity is due to answer these questions?

Badly worded, I know, and apologise for that. I should have clarified citizens of this country, currently governed by numpties.
Its not our government either. Its the monarchs. That fact alone shows why its actions constantly degrade the people of Britain.
I understand everything you say but these were men who wanted to make a point. The two traffickers the team encountered were dealt with using less than lethal munitions. One trafficker had an old soviet-era Makarov pistol, which failed to fire. He got a baton round in his back when he ran away. The dinghy invaders had already scarpered when the first flashbang went off. Two of the team of four set about disabling the boat. The bill hook sliced it in two, laterally. The sledge hammer took care of the outboard motor and fuel can. Job done. Oh, and the pistol went into the English Channel along with the bullets. A deal was done with the local police but that’s another story. I’ll just say their are friends on other side who know what part we played in liberating France in 1944.
The Libyan coastguard has it right. When a German ngo helicopter was observing and attempting to direct its ngo vessel to go and collect “migrants” from small boats within on Libyan territorial waters.
The coastguard captain called the helicopter pilot on the radio and told him to leave the area.
This warning was ignored so the captain made it plain he was in command of an armed coastguard vessel and unless the helicopter left immediately it would be shot down.
That did the trick.
The coastguard ship was in the business of stopping the small boats and forcing them to return to shore. My guess is the same “I will shoot” warning was very effective.
Pretty sure the Libyan coastguard towed the confiscated small boats offshore and sank them with gunfire just to ram the message home.
Either HMG people are well meaning but stupid or they are malicious. Doesn’t matter which end result is the same. They have to go.
