1. We open with an unusual one
There was some sort of meeting between Cornyn and Scott Pressler, long time gr-a-fter for the MAGA cause … Cornyn called him a gr-i-fter and refused to shake his hand. Same nominal party, the Republicans:
Dear Senator Cornyn,
I approached you respectfully at the airport, extending my hand & introducing myself. We were at the ticket gate with literally dozens of witnesses — passengers inches away. Despite a quib reply back from you, I kept things professional & focused on the SAVE America Act.
While I respect that you say you want to ensure wins this November, I speak for millions when I say that voters will be more likely to vote upon the passage of the SAVE America Act. Voters see what’s happening in California & wonder why our Senate isn’t doing everything in its power to secure our elections.
Did you know that former Congresswoman Michelle Steel (R-CA) lost by 653 votes in 2024? Did you know that former Congressman John Duarte (R-CA) lost by 187 votes? I have no doubt that the SAVE America Act would have prevented these losses.
Why are we normalizing an expectation for California to count votes for weeks after Election Day — like Spencer Pratt’s election. In North Carolina, the State Board of Elections found 34,000 dead voters on the voter rolls — fact-check me. (CC: Senator Tillis) How can Americans have confidence in our elections & how are Americans going to be inspired to vote if you don’t legislate as the majority?
Last — & I mean this with the utmost of respect — for the $150 million that was spent on the Texas Senate primary/runoff, we could have built massive voter registration/get out the vote operations in every single swing state. While I understand it might be difficult to contemplate an American citizen doing this work because it’s the right thing to do, I’m proud to say that I don’t take PAC $ — not even from my own organization.
I can’t be bought, which frustrates the political establishment. My one singular mission is doing right by the American people and delivering legislative wins that the popular vote delivered in 2024. I’m on the way to the Texas GOP Convention to help ensure all of our Republican candidates win this November — I hope you’ll do the same.
I hope you’ll do the right thing & encourage your colleagues to pass the SAVE America Act — let’s win big.

Had to have gone through two dozen versions of Stairway reactions to find one I could use. First issue was that most reactors used the inferior live version which was all theatrics, not music. Second issue were the reactors … so many being total horses’ backsides, ignorant, arrogant with no foundation …
… then I ceased the steam from the nostrils, realising that these are just kids … and not only that but shockingly brought up and “educated”, how many from broken homes … plus from a quite different era. But a few of the younger ones were good, plus a few of the more mature. The real shockers were maybe 25 to 45 years old.
Plus youtube itself commenting that they can do nothing about the flood of AI, which viewers dislike with a passion. Plus one on Jimmy Page, saying he hated this guitarist or that … utter bollox, as many commenters noted, tearing into the AI presenter.

Pity in one way but the background graphics were poor on that version, such is life. Here’s the one I’m going with:
Out of the Blue is a 1947 American screwball comedy independent film[2] based on the short story by Vera Caspary, whose work was adapted for Laura and adapted A Letter to Three Wives, also co-wrote this screenplay. It stars George Brent, Virginia Mayo, Turhan Bey, Ann Dvorak and Carole Landis. It was directed by Leigh Jason…
“Brent, who seldom gets a chance to show how accomplished he really is in light comedy easily holds up his end, but it is Miss Dvorak who wows as the screwball interior decorator. Dvorak reveals an entirely new side to a public that, if it hasn’t exactly forgotten her, never remembers her in this sort of thing. Had the others fitted as neatly into their roles, outcome might have been quite different, but it is very hard to accept Bey without a turban, while Virginia Mayo registers only when she simulates a tough babe.”[7] – Variety (magazine)
“the direction isn’t swiftly paced enough for effective farce, and some of the actors obviously aren’t comfortable in the genre…one must be in an open or forgiving mood to get the most out of this uneven comic effort”[8] – Matt Hough, Home Theater Forum, November 2019
“a curious film, not quite making the grade as a screwball item yet catching a good if spotty reaction through the incongruity of George Brent, Ann Dvorak, and Turhan Bey working as comedians”[7] – Laurence Dabin, Toronto Film Society, November 2020
