14. Long retired, and a widower, my annual mileage for my car, garaged off road, is now roughly 5000 miles. With 12 years NCD, the renewal quote from a (until now) respected road organisation, is £687.34, up from £547.60. No explanation for such a rise apart from me being over 75 (having been a Police response driver in my day makes no difference). Fortunately, I have time to have a look at other companies.
