Now, dearest readers, this below is formulaic, it opens with the word “shocking” or similar, the narrative might be high noise AI data plant, who knows … it’s everything I can’t stand in youtubes but … and it’s a big butt … the topic and treatment do have merit, I suspected this, so did fellow coffee drinkers.
I’ve gone back to perc coffee, slow infuse … but still the taste is not right. What the hell have they inserted, surreptitiously?
Can’t stand instant coffee since I started drinking freshly ground more than a decade ago. Not keen on the aluminum pods either as whatever type of bean/roast there was always a lingering metallic taste. We got one of those fancy pod machines for 1€ once if we signed up for six months-worth of capsules from Nestle. We were supposed to keep it for a year but the thing packed up after three months. They repaired it – they don’t go in for replacements over here – but sent the machine back when the contract was up. Wouldn’t have another one!
The nicest coffee I’ve had was from Union Coffee in the UK and it was a sad day when they stopped their international delivery.
I started my day with a cup of white tea flavoured with almond extract. Unusual but very drinkable.☕️

Sello Rojo (Colombia) and La Llave (Cuba, now US) are both excellent for espresso or regular coffee. A steal online at $4 for a 10 ounce brick.
