There maybe very little “Building Stone” in East Anglia, but there’s no shortage of flints! Lots of churches (and other buildings) in the area are constructed of it, some almost entirely. The fields in Breckland are full of the stuff, and the area is also home to Grime’s Graves which was a large Neolithic flint mining complex, not many miles from St Andrews, West Dereham…
