Some thoughts on these radio plays

We can only rerun them … oh … once a year? The modern ones I tried some years back … awful, from the acting to the wokery.

However, even the old showed signs in two ways … first of all, she had to be dashing, with a man’s name, e.g. Steve, which also covers the gay lobby but the male has to be almost dismissive of the woman’s capabilities … and I don’t like either thematic elements … tales with each doing what each is capable of are more fun to me, with respect for the other’s abilities and not claiming that they, each, can do what the other does … awkward wording.

Yes, it’s true that they cover that too where Temple “concedes”, finally, that his wife had “done well”. Too patronising for mine, just as I can’t stand modern feminazis. I want them as a team, the man and woman, esp. in this day and age.

Having said all that, the Temple tales are about as good as we can get, composition-wise … new challenge, new face, every so often. They really do it well and yesterday and the day before, those radio plays eased the eyes wonderfully. Thus, maybe, we need a small stock of them at hand. I’m thinking one more after this one … Conrad? Geneva? Experts please opine on the matter.

Here’s this radio play today, later a Tue Mat.

On the silly bint who “freed” a lobster

“These animals were in a heated tank and this woman threw one of them into the cold water of the harbour. Her staggering ignorance, which seems to be all too typical of animal rights activists means that both animals are now dead one certainly as a direct cause of her actions and the other possibly related.

She picked this creature out of its tank and threw it overarm into the harbour. Think about that for a moment. There wasn’t one thought there about the welfare of the animal, only her stupid, ignorant cause.”

Pre-a) The UK ‘mainstream’ media are stubbornly silent today on the commencement of the trial of three men on trial for arsonists attacks on property belonging to Keir Starmer.

a) In Toulouse, the Bellefontaine neighborhood is gripped by tension following the establishment of a clandestine checkpoint attributed to drug traffickers. For several weeks, motorists traveling on Chemin de Lestang have reportedly been stopped in the middle of the night, searched, and interrogated at gunpoint….

b) The town of Ecquevilly (Yvelines) experienced two nights of intense unrest following a collision between a motocross bike and a police vehicle on April 25. Since the accident, the situation has remained volatile in this town of 4,300 inhabitants, marked by urban violence and a significant police presence….

c) On the night of Thursday, April 23, several criminals broke into the home of an 85-year-old man from Seyssuel, France. Awakened by the noise, the octogenarian was punched in the face before being locked in one of the rooms of his home….

d) Paris: Forced off the metro by a gang, a young man was attacked with a machete and left with a slashed face in the Oberkampf district….

1. There are a number of repeated actions

… I’ve been doing lately which must have created the situation of the heart scare (still present) plus what Them are doing, from meds to poisoned air to too sedentary a blogging lifestyle. The only way to know is to test one link at a time … last night was not taking the statin … today’s is not eating butter on Ritz crackers, plus switching from coffee to tea … it’s going to take some time.

Meanwhile, I just posted at X:

“Under the heading “It’s difficult to free fools from the chains they revere”, a post at two sites quotes five screenshots … these quotes are now reposted on X. Have a lovely Tuesday, dear Xers.”

One place you could read it is at Orphans, another (in large print) is at Jstack. Have a good Tuesday, folks. I’d put my own health currently at 4/10, meaning that at least there’ll be posting … ever so slowly.
