In this matter though, the Donbass regional govts appealed to Putin as civilians, apartment buildings, plus military targets were being shelled daily in that Hamas/Hezbollah way. For how long?
First Crimea, which had always been Russian anyway, rejoined Russia as an autonomous republic, then Putin started the SMO. Meanwhile, western Ukraine was a sewer of child trafficking, biolabs, deals with leading Demrats for billions in US and UK taxpayer money … same sort of thing whatever they touch.
Again, Putin is far from being an angel and I’ve been personally on the end of it. Yet facts are facts.

Is it ever likely to say to a perma-hostile western psycho “leadership” … oh fine, just come into our country and do whatever you want, take whatever you like? As the Ukraine has done?
China, Russia, USA are the three major blocs, each defends its borders and does naughty things in outlying regions … Nicaragua, USSR buffer zones, Tibet and Mongolia, Taiwan. Russia and China have an agreement over Siberia. I mean … that’s just as it is.
Why conflagration, slaughter, abject misery in the Ukraine? Psycho groups, NATO, CIA … as simple as that. Massively big money for the PTB.
Nothing to do with self-determination, a pipe dream. Russian red lines? Neutral Ukraine, never to be in NATO, foreigners out, Russian speaking regions as they are. That’s it.

Yesterday I had a coffee with a late Millennial/Gen Zee, mebtioned that I’d done a post on them being instrumental in putting Trump in … she was shocked. The stats said that while 55% went Harris, it was not universal and that 45% was significant.
Was there any generation which was majority Trump? Yes … yes there was … and not “seniors”.
There, the numbers were reversed … the 55% was for Trump. And seniors? Half and half, slightly more for Harris. Seem iffy, those numbers, until you look at Woke women, from Steinem’s age (1934), then younger … the feminazis have always been so. As for men … yep, hippies, druggies, the poet and beatnik gen.
Plus Gen X have actually grown up a bit now. Looking once again at a chart:

11. Today’s French lesson

The actual story is that two Israeli police were sent by car into a sensitive zone patrolled or maintained by the French, not unlike in Berlin, way back when. All sorts of fisticuffs ensued. Paris backed its officers etc. etc.
The back story is that in certain zones, e.g. on the Temple Mount, the loony jihadis see it as the green light for the final conflagration, so it’s a red rag to the goat breeders.
That’s not my interest in the article … my interest was in the language. In Russian, there’s an expression “malenki slovarni zapas” … small word store, meaning restricted vocabulary. The issue is not not knowing the rules, most endings etc. but actually finding the words to use.
In reading the two paragraphs above, which were pretty easy really … I think most of you who had schoolchild French, you could do it … the issue for me was “lors”, which really does alter the context. Lors means during and Lors d’échanges means During exchanges, which is similar to how we might say it. Just why I’d forgotten keyword “lors”, in the same way perhaps as “maintenant” … wwweeellll, there are holes in the brain’s “zapas”, no?
