In a flat tone I told him “Trump was the 45th President and next month he will be the 47th President, right?”. My nephew’s reply: “So what?”. I then informed him of the fact that the President is Commander-in-Chief of all the Armed Forces of the United Stated of America and saluting is a convention when in the presence of the military. He didn’t like that and left the room.
