X never ceases to amaze
… whilst YouTube never ceases to disappoint (item 3). I never intended anything religious in item 1 today, was looking for a key issue to tackle … but this came up:
Having said that, an item came up quoting the Scarman report but a note came up further down that it was not a (heavily underlined) quote from the report but instead from (some named MP) opposing the report (possibly correctly so).
My beef? It was shoddy scholasticism, unnecessary, designed to persuade by half truth, gilding the lily.
And this above, this debate, is precisely what Toodles and southern US study were debating with me (hardly a biblical scholar). The point was I was only really looking at the NT, particularly Ephesians but all the law and prophets hang on certain behaviours, so I read. And they require the whole picture, the evidence of ages. But that also requires looking at Assyria, Babylon, the Sea Peoples (Gaza and other places?) … and so it goes on … it’s a deep rabbit hole.
Obviously such things are trending on X, they keep recurring. Plus the young bucks of Restore are starting to flood X too. Plus Rubio’s speech at the Acropylis.
