First, the London one:
Now a navel-gazing ramble about me-me-me … Jago hates em and so do I … the question is … why, why, why? Ditto with ferris wheels and planes … and skyscrapers … and walkways from one building to another … am I scared of everything which moves?
Well, ziplines are ok, the kamikaze slide at the waterpark in Cyprus is fine:
… the Katoomba rackrail down the mountainside is fine:
… skiing on most slopes … lovely:
… toboganning? Crazy for it:
The boat I used to race (won some too)? Twas a buzz:
So, why would I never go on that London cablecar, a ferris wheel or that Pilatus to lake cablecar (again)?
Partly, it’s because I’m not in control, I don’t trust the engineering of others, heights off ground are disorienting though fine on mountaintops and in ski jumps … not an issue. It’s just through the air, fontrolled by others … nah, never willingly.
Glider? Yep, I’d have tried that but until detached … nah. Hang-gliding? Nah … don’t trust the engineering … or nature for that matter. Am I strange?
