… and shamelessly turned into a post item of my own:
France. Macron passed legislation to ban under-15s from social media. The Constitutional Council says this unduly inhibits the free expression of adults:
However, by failing to specify the conditions and limits under which such proof must be provided, the legislature has not established the legal safeguards necessary to ensure compliance with these requirements.”
“By prohibiting minors under the age of fifteen from accessing certain online services, the law inherently requires every person, even an adult, to prove their age before accessing them.
This gross wankery which Them are now heavily into has ZERO to do with safeguarding children … it’s to hit western adults with a pretext to withold access to the net, even to our own funds … it’s completely about controlling us plebs who have found an outlet for expression.
It’s patently obvious that I’m no spring chicken … a quick glance at the old N.O. says that I started the blog in 2006. Not that I was born in 2006. Ditto with NOWP. The NHS and HMRC are quite happy with my birth year being what it is. So why would I be refused services elsewhere?
It’s because I will NOT play this control game, where the ONLY proof is something Them approve. There is heaps of other proof.

Here’s something else nefarious going on over here.
A female friend of the family has been in pain since January this year – diagnosed initially after several tests in March that the problem is gallstones. After referral to one consultant she then had to undergo a body scan which meant more delays. In the meantime she drastically changed her diet as recommended and was given opioids to take at night as the pain was disturbing her sleep. The latest appointment with another consultant told her he could remove her gall bladder but it might not stop the pain which radiates up to her right shoulder. At this latest appointment she was hoping that he would actually do something!
Not so. He wants to get her heart checked out before he does anything.
She has now to book an appointment with a cardiologist and was told there is a long waiting list and it could be up to 2 years before she one. In the meantime all pain relief has been suspended.
Imagine being in debilitating pain for what could possibly be 2+ years. Would drive to distraction and quality of life would be on a downward slope. Now factor in the recently passed assisted ⚰️ laws. Can you see where this is going?
Fortunately she found a cardiologist who could see her in October but she will have to travel some distance to get there. The French healthcare system is no better than the NHS in this instance.
