(1026) Time plunges onwards. Memes all over the place, I need to start posting, plenty of films, some politics, a bit. (1059)

10. Moo corner

Moo has that aspect to her … whilst she ‘s corrosive right, for the way society was … she also has this very compassionate side, which is nice.

H/T Latimer Alder

For non-Brits, this is a core expression, obviously derived from the TV series … Windsor Davies is the actor … it’s such an easy expression to drop in … meaning something bad happening to an enemy or someone we don’t care for. Mock concern.

  1. 10. Moo corner – a study in ‘white privilege’. Easy to forget that not so long ago that was how it was for the majority of children in our country. All four of my grandparents were born in the first decade of the 20th century – 1900, 1902, 1904, 1906. Both grandfathers died in their mid-fifties, before I was born. Childhood illnesses and sheer hard work took them to a better place in the 1950’s. My nans faired better and were able to tell me how their parents grew up under Queen Victoria. Grim to say the least. The wealth of Empire simply passed them by as both were functionally illiterate. We haven’t had it good that long and the privilege we do have was a thousand years coming. It wasn’t given, it was earnt.

  2. 10. Having compassion is a very human trait. The left have compassion which is distorted and targeted in all the wrong places. The right have righteous compassion where it is needed.
