7. This was yesterday morning – something that needs explaining. As far as it concerns the political class, white folk do not embody ethnicity. Their racism only allows for Blacks and Browns to have an identity beyond skin colour. That view is the same across the board: white is generic. So someone of Black African origin living in this country can have a white identity and still be an ‘ethnic minority’. According to the political class this defines ‘inclusion’. In their minds someone of South Asian origin living in England is English, because English is neither a race or an ethnicity. You may ask yourself why they think that way?
