Having to live down the managerial class’s egregious gaffes, poor workmanship and Prescott running two of em* … it was a long, bumpy history for this car. I quite liked the XJ-6 from a distance.

* Originally, Prescott’s nickname was “Prezza”, but as various misfortunes befell him, the sobriquets became more colourful, leading to “Two Jags”, which set the template for later nicknames. Prescott owned one Jaguar, and had the use of another as his official ministerial car.
