Ole Chopper bangs the ivories

If I introduced this with less than awe and reference, well … Chopin never quite did it for me as a kid, nor did the pianoforte … and now may well be too late with the slow impairment of hearing, along with the mild tinnitus. However, hope springs eternal, so let’s try it again.

As for the version, the issue with live performances is quality, idiosyncratic playing … whereas these old vinyls tended to be to a high enough standard, if not sublime …

b. “Presidential Unsealing and Reporting Systems For UAP Encounters (Pursue)”

“In response to President Donald J. Trump’s directive for transparency on U.S. government information regarding Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), the Department of War (DOW), with support from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), is overseeing government wide efforts to expeditiously find, review, identify, declassify and publicly release unresolved UAP-related records and historical documents in the federal government’s possession. This is an unprecedented, historic undertaking that requires coordination between dozens of agencies and the review of tens of millions of records, many existing only on paper, spanning many decades. Given the scope of this task, the Department of War will be releasing new materials on a rolling basis as they are discovered and declassified, with tranches posted every few weeks.…”

Coffees

Now, dearest readers, this below is formulaic, it opens with the word “shocking” or similar, the narrative might be high noise AI data plant, who knows … it’s everything I can’t stand in youtubes but … and it’s a big butt … the topic and treatment do have merit, I suspected this, so did fellow coffee drinkers.

I’ve gone back to perc coffee, slow infuse … but still the taste is not right. What the hell have they inserted, surreptitiously?

Monday [1 to 5]

(0433) still dark. There is a slight change to “first thing in the morning” here. Correspondence first, OoL check second, X third … that’s where the gathering for the day, sshots etc., happens. HQ fourth, once I have the material, have done the necessaries. Fifth is numbering at NOWP (which means re-reading).

Sixth is around the blogs, during the second phase with second brek. (Mon 6-10). Check YT too for today’s fayre.

“Correspondence” includes notifications, e.g. Andy’s piece this morning. Under X occasionally comes footage as footage … that must go straight to HQ as it takes too much work to try to find it on X again later. Why not save url? Because it involves leaving things already in play and upon return, they’re gone. Bitter experience, poor cyber service, multiple “refreshes”, I could go on and on.

Today for example, we open with footage … if I don’t, it disappears (time sensitive). (0539)

5. Steve at 1379

Ordinarily, I like to keep Steve and DAD separated by a new file sshot (there was an issue a year or so ago with DAD), plus Steve has tried it on again with the Bannon thing (Bannon hisself does actually occupy the first minutes, as I knew he would) and we cannot afford to run either the Ban or even the Rum of bool at HQ or at anything Ggl Blgr … for some reason, NOWP does not mind, go figure.

Having said that, I’m loathe to put Steve in the second phase (Mon 6 to 10), as that closes in on IYE corner. I’m rabbiting on about all this just to show readers what early morn involves. Some have said we’re all a bunch of irascible idiosyncratic curmudgeons and my reply is … “Hey, when did anything of quality ever come easily and without energy? Plus it works, as long as I don’t change the routine and even here, there’s a bit if stick, there’s a personal edge.

Yes, I’m personally deteriorating (screen radiation, wifi, onset of age?) and routines are the only way to cope and not miss anything. I’d never do a podcast.

Steve’s report:

  • Now that the US-Iran War Seems About To End, France and the UK Send Warships to the Middle East To ‘Secure’ the Strait of Hormuz
  • US Ready to Fork Over Up to $10 Billion to Supercharge Belgian Nuclear Power
  • FBI Launches Criminal Investigation into Senate Intelligence Committee Democrats for Leaking Classified Intel on DNI Tulsi Gabbard to the New York Times (JH: Nice).
  • Senator Bernie Moreno on The Threat of Chinese Electric Vehicles

  • Hantavirus: The fear machine is starting again; this time, you should recognise it, Dr Sherri Tenpenny says
  • AI Can Now Hack Servers and Replicate Itself Across Networks (JH: Yes, we’re well aware, we monitor it, it happened on Saturday for example, we do have some honeytraps of our own too).
  • (JH: Old news but let’s repeat) Nick Shirley Went To Cuba… He Almost Didn’t Make It Home
  • Much more.

Which bribgs us to 0537, readers, time for first brek (quiche and side veg, seeing as you asked, plus green tea).

4. DAD at 1379

DAD can be anytime from around 0400 to maybe 0545. Absolutely no issue, no pressure, deeply grateful for his reports. As I write, at 0459, guess what? This is my screen right now:

Redact the gathered images (a five step process of 3 mins each, max), and hey presto:

DAD’s report:

a) Belgian Police show the Calais Police how to do it. Since the beginning of the year, more than 400 migrants have been apprehended on the Belgian coast. The phenomenon is worrying Flemish authorities. Several incidents have occurred recently: a car carrying several migrants ended up in a ditch while trying to avoid a police checkpoint. Two people were injured….

b) Is it time for von der Leyen to go?  Rumors are circling that a new face (and voice) is needed to lead EU, in war and beyond.

c) This isn’t Beirut or Tehran. This is Macron’s France….

d) Deux-Sèvres, France: He was driving without a licence, without insurance and without a valid vehicle inspection certificate; his car ended up impounded….

3. Two in one “early morn”, like wow

2. Andy at 1379

“Euromaidan, I don’t know what that means but it sounds like a nod to the globalist coup in Kiev. Anyway, they have this to report. Believe it all if you wish. |  https://euromaidanpress.com/2026/05/09/russia-planned-major-naval-counteroffensive-against-ukraine-drones-are-built-but-they-cant-be-used/ | Second paragraph reads; “This situation highlights Russia’s dependence on Western satellite technologies and the vulnerability of its defense projects to sanctions.” Like I said, believe it if you wish. Believe that statement and you will think that the Russians are stupid beyond all reason.”

1. The sounds of silence

Simon and Garfunkel could have written a song about this below.

Sunday [11 to 15]

(0937)(1023)

15. This one was interesting

Story was that this young Saskia was invited to York, four hours from home and four hours back, to address a Restore youth meeting … the details have still not emerged who did the next bit.

On the morning she was to travel, she was contacted to say that she was not required, as it did not give out the message “they wanted”. She was obviously upset, having rehearsed her speech but moreso because she was simply stating Restore policy.

She has not actually slammed Restore, though of course Reform Nigelites immediately did, along with the Uniparty’s various branches. Rupert or someone close to him put out that it had not come from Head Office but Orla did tweet Saskia, asking her to DM her, Orla.

The most acrimonious words came from rank and file Restorers themselves, pointing out that it was precisely rejection of Nigelite tactics which they were in Restore for in the first place. Plus she, Saskia, was only stating official Restore policy, albeit a bit vehemently, as young devotees are wont to do.

So someone was vetting a known firebrand Restorer.

Why? Obviously to soften it, to render it Restore-lite, Nige’s tactics all over again. And herewith is the conundrum … integrity, sticking by one’s guns … is commendable and noble, but it’s not going to win a GE, given what the normies are like.

Rail privatisation

Jago is left-leaning as a rule, so I was expecting this to be an anti Thatcher/Major tirade and yet the chronology seemed right, at least for the first minutes I checked out.

I’ve been uneasy for quite a few decades about privatisation in Britain, as it’s been far more about corporatism, managerialism, incompetence and greed … and yet the old BR was socialist by the end.

6. An interesting thing came up

… whilst exploring Rivers of Babylon:

My reading of it is not that Jeremiah:

Rabbinical sources attributed the poem to the prophet Jeremiah,[2] and the Septuagint version of the psalm bears the superscription: “For David. By Jeremias, in the Captivity.”[3]

… was exhorting violence but rather lamenting what he saw coming and was bitter at Edomites et al for that.

Various groups have used and exploited the song’s modern form, for example the Melodians, imho the version most musically suited to the theme, if not lyrically:

“In the context of the song “Rivers of Babylon” (originally recorded by The Melodians in 1970), “King Alpha” is a Rastafarian title for Haile Selassie I, the former Emperor of Ethiopia. Rastafarians view Haile Selassie as a divine figure, with “King Alpha” representing God and his wife, Menen Asfaw, as “Queen Omega”.”

The less I say about that perversion of Psalm 137 the better.
