I’d not generally dwell on tales of someone who was taking an acceptable line but then who started asking difficult questions or quoting Revelation 3:9, nor would I bury a link somewhere in the complex, maybe in the least likely place, of someone asking such questions … so I shan’t.
12. Seek medical, or legal, help in a country where you can’t speak the language, and you either bring a family member who can speak the language, or you have to hire an interpreter. Unfortunately, the numpties in authority in this country feel that taxpayers money is purely for the use of others.
12. Translation – saw an example in hospital. Chinese woman could not speak enough English to book a taxi back home or even say what her address was. Her young daughter could speak English but was to young to explain where they lived. The hospital receptionist had to piece it together from what the daughter was able to tell him and book the taxi for them – turned out to be a Chinese shop in Derby. Receptionist was used to doing it I reckon.
