A fine British train drama with a strong cast of characters, golfing bore, movie actress, miserly millionaire, sinister villain Conrad Veidt, Finlay Currie as a movie agent and Hugh Williams as a suave but uneasy crook who together with Veidt is after a stolen painting. Well worth watching with some interesting reviews.
I didn’t realise the career of Hugh Williams began so early in 1930, virtually as soon as the first talkies and I’d never have recognised Finlay Currie as the actor who played Magwitch in David Lean’s Great Expectations.

It’s the daddy of train mysteries … not a bad copy either.
