Another genius move has been stopping preventative burns of heather. Why do I care about this? Because during damp winter months these burns safely prune the dead material which is then replaced by younger plants. It is the dead heather which is combustible. And thanks to Defra we now have 74% more of it.

The winter burns used to create firebreaks. Now we have huge expanses of continuous, ageing vegetation.

The result is disaster after disaster. The massive fires at Saddleworth and Fylingdales started on land where winter burns had been blocked. At Saddleworth five million people inhaled poisonous smoke.”

7. It’s not just some childish bickering

… between two “right wing rivals”. For a start, one of them is hardly right wing.

At least, one of them is southern middle-class, with herbaceous borders, seen online in vast numbers of ladies of a certain station in life … and the other is working class, earthier, self-made or self-employed, heavily male dominated. Which are more likely to have middling leftist, “love everyone” tendencies, nicely nicely … and which far more blunt, even “direct”, that horror inspiring word … “direct”?

Many of the ladies on the “direct” side are younger, part of a set of folk not given to soft niceties:

Probably the same to a point with men but when ladies start being the cynosure, their confidence hugely expands and they’re in their element. Plus KL always said a prayer before going out to meet the jackals.

Was just reading about KL … one of the enemy put something up on X and we should at least look before tossing it in the bin.  It really was sudden though.


My theory is that DJT really is old now and Wiles runs things.  She would love to drive a wedge between DJT and KL.  I imagine … and it really is imagination on my part but the legit theory might have been to have two major security risks on two different planes.

I still suspect Wiles. I have another theory though … called my theory no. 2. Ladies do not like being “kicked to the kerb”. Anytime, anywhere. Bad things start happening. But what would I know … I’m but a man.
