5. One for X

People prefer an utter loony as Ohio gov to a perceived H-1B. Which in one sense is quite unfair on those with class and loyalty to their adoptive country.

a) France. In a rare display of cross-party unity on Wednesday, 458 MPs voted against the revenue section of the budget, with none in favour and two abstentions. The rejection – mirroring last year’s budget deadlock – effectively ended the Assembly’s first reading, preventing MPs from debating the spending provisions, which had already been rejected in committee. Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu’s office said negotiations would resume in December, after the Senate had examined the government’s original proposals.

b) A leading leftist mayor in France has called on the government to outlaw public debate of the “Great Replacement”, thereby potentially turning large sections of the native population into thought criminals.

c) Germany has become the latest country hit by the wave of far-left unrest sweeping Western Europe, with Frankfurt descending into looting and arson. Hesse Interior Minister Roman Poseck said up to 1,500 people were involved in the destruction, predominantly of immigrant background, while AfD leaders warned of ‘French conditions’.

d) Poland. Donald Tusk has refused to retreat over Poland’s Constitutional Tribunal crisis, declaring that ‘there can be no compromise’ as criticism closes in from both the right and his own coalition. The Parliamentary Council denounced Friday’s events as an ‘unlawful coup’, while PSL and Poland 2050 turned to President Karol Nawrocki in search of a way out.

e) The UK. Through the internet a couple of days ago, like a signal from another galaxy, there crackled a social-media message from the guiding force of our new government. The fuzziness eventually cleared to show a big-fringed, oblong head with wonky mouth, rings under its eyes and a spittle-fluffed voice. Earthlings of Britain, behold your overlord, Ed Miliband.

Foreign Secretary Miliband [referred to as Mr. Bean in the article] had taken to X to say we should grovel for forgiveness for transatlantic slavery. The fact that the Royal Navy heroically prevented that wicked trade in the 19th century went unmentioned by Red Ed.
