(0918) Morning all. Still line ball, chez higham, shall know better later.

We’re not talking zero sum here

Let’s start with that clown on GB News, supposedly a retired general … looked the part in the clip, maybe 70 years old. Problem was, he only had part of it right.

In common (to a point) with Steve here, my “bellicose” attitude is warrior, I would certainly have been in WW2, was military trained and in the ranks a few years. However, I agree more with Tyler below on this particular issue … he’s one of the new, young Restore chaps. Look though at his profile pic and compare to that retired soldier … I’m far closer to the clown on GB News going apoplectic over a clear misunderstanding.

Before getting to that, a memory decades ago of a news item where a recruiting officer stood up at a football match, urging young men to sign up. Problem was, it was late in the war … either WW1 or 2, and the casualty level, the utter dislocation, had the entire stadium booing him. He asked his superiors not to send him to anything like that again.

There’s another thing with Tyler. As someone in the teaching game many decades, the change came over western education around 1970/71 and it became steadily worse after that. I say that Gen Xers and early Millennials are in no real position to judge, being the youbgsters of the time. The gen before me could judge though. So I’m saying that Tyler is part of a cohort which thinks and decides on what is now quite apparent on soc-med concerning the donkeys over us.

Not just donkeys either but nasty pieces of work as Renata illystrated earlier. Communists. So any war they want me for … I’m not joining up. However, the real war is inside the land and of course I’ll join up, were Restore people in charge.

And that’s it. Explained further:

The older man, the retired soldier, cannot see the difference … there was none back in WW2, in which he was not. What the leader class said was what everyone then did … as they were told to.

Incidentally, let’s say an 18 year old was signed up in 1945 … he’d have been born in 1927, 99 years old now.

And lastly for this post … that young so-called manager of Gosport Wetherspoons … the one with bits of metal stuck through his face … out of order refusing on the basis of the poppy.

Now, I’ve seen commenters say no jo, it was not over the poppy, it was over thugs outside.

Bollox … it was most certainly over the poppy. The poppy represents all returned servicemen and women. To refuse service to them was well out of order. Particularly coming from that young deviant.

  1. We’re not talking zero sum here – I watched the spat between Peter Bleksley, a retired police detective, and GB News presenter Alex Armstrong when it was broadcast – had a chat with Alex at last year’s inaugural Unite the Kingdom Rally, in London. Decent lad, looks younger than his 35 years. The old copper lost it when Alex said he wouldn’t fight for this lot, meaning the regime(s) that is hellbent on replacing us with Third World immigrants.

Alex has veterans in his family and also some who are serving. Alex said he’d spoken to them about how he felt and they didn’t disagree with him. That’s why he said what he said, live on air. Bleksley needs to wind his neck in. Of course a nation is not the same as a nation state. Take England, until the Act f Union it was a nation state – arguably the oldest in Europe. However the English are the nation, the ‘ethnos’, or ethnic group.

What the English are not is placeholders for someone else. England is ours and for the better part of a thousand years we’ve suffered and died for her. That is what we’ll fight for and as they force this decline upon us the time for fighting draws ever nearer. Underneath it all we are still warriors. On the battlefield of Maldon the outnumbered English fought on without hope of victory. If it comes to it so be it:

Hige sceal þē heardra, heorte þē cēnre, mōd sceal þē māre, þē ūre mægen lytlað.

In the hour of adversity and danger they closed their ranks and were true to one another – Sir Arthur Bryant
