(0541) IYE informs that they have “winds, rain and lightning” in France … we’re due this around midday apparently. You? (0723) Just compressed 14 items … variations on the current themes, globally … the themes the same, the obstinate resistance to doing the right thing sad. First, Steve and DAD. (0830)
5. Warning to Hegseth
… by a fellow ex-military, saying he needs to nip insurrection in the bud immediately … this is military, not civvie … comments below included:
Difficult explaining to the non-military mind but while blind obedience to a donkey leading the lions is disaster, e.g. Custer, the operations around Rorke’s Drift, the Light Brigade, Gallipoli (Hamilton) … add to that the Uke still doing what Zelensky/Azov still order them to … while that is just slaughter for some donkey’s pride ….. the opposite also holds true.
The commander must move well fed and rested troops, morale high, quickly and without delay, without the luxury of what we do here at Unherdables … argue this or that every step of the way, as we should … the time for arguing in the field is before the battle, not in the middle … lives crucially depend on troops knowing the plan and implementing it as one.
There is, therefore, the eternal dilemma … always was back to ancient times … that when it becomes blindingly obvious that the donkey(s) above deciding are complete non-comps … and that realisation comes upon them, not through a dissident wormtongue malcontent always stirring (such a one as moi), but from troops looking one another in the eye and it’s so blindingly obvious … that’s the point when troops must make that huge decision … if they do not, en masse, then examples are executed one after the other (the Romans called it decimation) to silence any dissent.
The impossible shift from that of instant obedience because in that lies victory, as against their own slaughter … to a position where they really must do a Fletcher Christian against a Bligh in order to save their units … there’s no official mechanism in place for that.
An example in football was the 2011 season downunder when, after an embarassing humiliation the previous season, previous head coach … the new coach came in and his reputation had been as a headkicking backman, total courage, good tactical head, a hard man, respected by all. He said to the players … look, here’s 2010, much loved coach who’s moved on … and here are we, with the power to take this flag, y’all know it … provided the leaders buy in and I do my job well. You in or not in?
They were in and they won the flag … resoundingly … despite errors from the rookie coach, learning on the job. Each committed, one by one, to a whole … became unstoppable. He’s still there. However, what if he’d turned out a complete non-comp like a Labour cabinet here?
It’s the oldest dilemma in the book. Hegseth must act decisively at this point, even as the new boy on the block. If he doesn’t … zero respect will follow.

1. Australia Day has a real edge to it this year, apparently
… the day after Rabbie Burns Night in Scotland. I saw these:
Just to bring non-Ozlanders up to speed … they put in a Labo(u)r govt some years back, apparently swapping leaders after that (where have we seen this before) … and he immediately launched full scale communism, attempting to wreck the Oz economy under some sort of DEI indigenous tribes superiority, plus Net Zero, plus they took a disliking to the tennis champ Djokovic and banned him for not deathjabbing.
Then they had a referendum called “Voice” which had this tiny, benefits receiving, first people who would own most land over other Australians, with their own “Lords” status in parlmt. Apparently, it was roundly rejected and the shock was that many famous “aborigines” were also vocal in the rejection.
That was that, in the way that Brexit was a rejection of the EU in 2016. Strange how events even so far apart in the world parallel each other … useless “communist leaders” ignoring the people of the land … there’s one in Canada right now, one in France, Romania … the UK govt won an election on 20+% of the possible national vote … and so it goes on … Brazil.
So there’s quite an edge to Australia Day downunder today, with official celebrations cancelled whilst people in the land (non Woke left) are defiantly celebrating it. Hmmmmmm.
