“We’re calling it. Netanyahu, Barnea, Ben-Gvir and several other members of Israel’s security leadership are dead. That’s the Prime Minister, Head of Mossad and Minister of National Security. Iran hit a high-level meeting of minds the same way Israel did. The question is who had the drop on them and dimed them out to Iran. If Trump’s smart he pretends like he double-crossed Netanyahu, takes credit for it all and leaves the war.”

  1. 16. Wonder if the Yahoo is actually dead … or in hiding? – that’s a shame, I like Joe Kent. His wife was KIA in Syria, working as liaison between US and British Special Forces on the ground. Back to Iran and those A10 Thunderbolts I mentioned here a couple of weeks ago. They are moving into theatre right now and it looks like they’ve been tasked with blazing away at those small fast boats. We’ll see what else they do over the coming fortnight and whether they provide close air support for the US Marines, who are about a week away.

But is it true? The attempts to disprove it seem pretty lame to me. On the other hand the Israelis may think that Netanyahu is a bit safer from assassination if the Iranians think he’s already dead.

Or maybe they’re just smuggling him from one bunker to another. How could any of us tell?
The world of smoke and mirrors, eh?

P.S. Why are the marines a week away? Why weren’t they positioned near the Gulf in the first place? Further, how can they be used if even the carrier groups are cowering 700 miles out at sea? Who is going to destroy the Iranian anti-ship missiles so that the USN can contribute to the war? Who knows?
