    • Commenter called Senior:

“Releasing 400+ names with zero context is perfect political strategy: everyone gets to claim vindication for their side while attacking the other.

Meanwhile, the actual evidence of who did what remains redacted. This isn’t transparency. It’s performance art.”

      • It is another nothing burger from Bondi.
Trump isn’t “vindicated” at all. It is a sop for the symps who can’t see beyond their noses. Already the doc search sites are all primed and ready so must’ve been part of the plan all along.

  1. Cold today and after a clear blue sky yesterday back to that ubiquitous grey. They’re evidently getting better at it. How nice of them to give us that respite on St. Valentine’s Day. Now it’s “back to the purgatory of the salt mines you useless eaters”.

    • We didn’t even get that! Since the six inches of snow on Jan 6 we’ve had only four days without rain. Added to that we’ve had strong winds for nearly a week now. The road through the village 500 yards from us is just about passable. Fortunately we live on a rise – so far so good – and we are on limestone so the water, if given a chance, drains away fairly quickly usually. However, due to the amount of rain we’ve had and are still having as I type, the garden and surrounding fields are waterlogged. Good news though – the hosepipe ban has been lifted.😆

  2. Taking kids out of school without fines sounds an attractive vote-winner – but the sting’s in who decides if the child is ‘developing well’ and has ‘otherwise good attendance’? Both subjective judgements.
For any policy to work, it needs to be fully defined, otherwise the blob will just circumvent it.

    ……

    JH: They do, the blob.
