Iran, I vaguely remember the demonstrations before the fall of the Shah and the subsequent triumphant return of the Ayatollah from exile in France. That poor country fallen far since those heady days, so far that the people are now begging for Reza Khan to resurrect the Monarchy. Now, trying to get my head around this. The earlier regime change may have come about as a result of Arab influence aided by the west. These latest demos look to me to be the people saying enough is enough, with minimal outside influence. Or I could be wrong and it’s Israeli or Russian or western influenced. The recent appointment of a head of our intelligence service with ties to uke nasties, the move of a Canadian politician with the similar ties to assist volodymyr makes me wonder. Did you know that the Shah of Iran was friendly with Germany during wwii? A friendship which caused us to invade Iran to secure supply routes. Many people have suspected that the EU is a plan b if war and invasion didn’t work. Nato was part formed by american recruitment of ex ss eastern from veterans at the nuremburg job interviews. Now we have the old european obsession of invading russ.
