(1157) Almost afternoon all. (1315)
15. Parody?

14. We may have had this one recently
… never mind.

13. Tale of two traitors

Flag in the second is Oz, not NZ. Wonder if NZers are still under its spell. Or Scots too in their case.
12. Not much for me to add here

11. Steve B’s chart of the day
… I was a couple of years too late, surprised it was when it was.
11.
Here I go prattling on about a music chart while Romelike places burn…🫤.
Also, IYE is THE One on the subject of the music charts as I amble behind him, Tag-Along-Toodles moi saying, yeh, yeh, yeh!
Not sure where IYE is so pathetically I will attempt, something.
I am thinking the chart, not month and not exactly the year, but round about…I go from memory and grade in school and what I recall going on at time when I first heard a song, but… based on that I am thinking 1967, or possibly 1968. IYE can hit 🎯 exactly, most likely!
It fools me because of the assortment of artists on the chart.
Beatles, Monkees then there is the Who…but then Englebert Humperdink (only the Brits could have come up with that one…is it a joke or what) and I, with no discerning taste, according to some upper level music aficionados here, I actually like him…and Who too! Lulu? What is not to love, Sir?
Can I have this waltz for the rest of my life … 🎤🎵🎶?… la de de dee…La la la la..🎵.
So EH was around sooner than I was aware, ‘conscious of’. Lil kid, I had crush on Davey instead of Humperdink, Humberdiink? Whateva… The Beatles were once throbs but yuk, what they had become was hardly fun for a kid girl to look upon.
Ahem, back to the subject. The Beatles were ending as how we identified them as Beatles around then, a bit later. The Monkees, not the same echelon, but fun and really enjoyable to someone of my age and undiscerning 👂at the time….but still have fun singing with them if they pop up! What can I say🤷🏼♀️? We have fun in our ignorance, we unrefined Americans.
Okay, okay…finally…🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁- Spring or summer of 19 and 68! My final begrudging answer!
See ya!
🎤🎵🎶Soul man…I’m a soul man🎶😎….🎵I can see for miles and miles and miles…🤭🎵🎶🎵🎶…🎤😢…🎵🎵Release me and let me love again…😢😢😢🎵🎶

……
JH: 67 it was, ma’am.
Nah, Toodles – after 1976 I tuned out. 🙂 I’d have guessed 67/68 going by Englebert Humpalump and his pleas – Please Release Me – another of my grandmother’s picks to charm us with whilst dusting.
